This year I am getting:

1/ Digital Camera
2/ a new suit
3/ contact lenses
4/ some *secret* sports wear

Neb 12-04-2001 08:05 AM

1: Clothes
2: Non-digital camera(Damn cheapskate parents )
3: Tickets to go see The Lord of the Rings

Redblueflare 12-04-2001 08:10 AM

1. PS2 and five games. (brother and me together.)
2. Clothes as always.

Oh, and probably the usual jeans, aftershave, sweater, ties thing

My immediate family learned a long time ago that Chistmas was a lot happier if we talked to each other in advance about what we wanted, and wanted to give. My folks already know that my brother and I are getting them a Caribbean cruise.

MagiK 12-04-2001 09:24 AM

Hmmm as the typical greedy american, Im getting 48 hours overtime,
donating to Ziroc's fund, Putting in some public service time to help the homeless and sending my children's mother (my ex-wife) a couple hundred dollars to get them things they want...For my self...I expect at least 4 christmas cards from my reletives, a smooch and a hug from several different friends and maybe a dinner invite.

Id much rather spend some time with the kids but since in the state I live in, judges believe that only mothers need quality holiday time with the children....

Merry Christmas, Happy err Hanukah (sorry for bad spelling) and an Enjoyable Kwanzaa to you all.

MagiK 12-04-2001 09:37 AM

OOps forgot that ...at least I think that there is an equinox and appropriate wiccan celebration too around this time,...but wasnt sure what it was called...happy equinox too

Hehe :D I knew it was a joke (I actually do have a sense of humor....just cant seem to remember which drawer I put it in)

I live in Maryland..a very evil state. I manage the SE region computer systems for an HMO (Kaiser). Since I don't get to see the kids at all over the holiday, I usually let the people on my team have all the time they want off and I fill in for them. (on the other hand just so it doesnt sound so bad...I have the kids for the Thanksgiving week)

Any way thanks for the inquiry

Im fairly certain Ms. Reeka, that even when your bad you are good...or to parphrase Mae West "When you're good, your very good, and when your bad, you're even better"

:D

I sure am glad the ex and I get along well. I don't think I could stand going through most of the crap single parents do during the holidays. Sorry about your situation MagiK. I sympathize.

Sorcerer Alex 12-04-2001 12:39 PM

We don't do presents anymore. I and my siblings are all considered adults now, unfortunately.

Cerek the Barbaric 12-04-2001 04:34 PM

My wife bought me Throne of Baal (which I have already installed on my PC).

I purchased Icewind Dale off of eBay.

And I saw my wife coming out of Wal-Mart with a "blue box" that looked suspiciously like a HP Printer (Yahooooo).

I have a very old - but very usable - PC. Only 1.55mh processor. I upgraded to a 20gb hard drive, but I've had the machine for 2 years with NO printer.

I'm really pushing for a better machine. We are expecting our 3rd child in June, and that will probably bring any PC-upgrades to an immediate and prolonged halt.

Magik, I am sorry to hear about your situation. I couldn't bear being away from my children at any time - much less during the holidays. Thank goodness my wife and I get along so well (and still love each other very much).

Barb 12-04-2001 04:48 PM

1. A computer game
2 something I'll probably never use again.

Adults don't get presents? They do where I come from... :(

Grojlach 12-04-2001 05:02 PM

Erm, I'm probably not getting much with Christmas, but that's more because we have another celebration in the Netherlands involving lots of presents, tomorrow to be exact. :D
Already know I'm getting a new TV...
(my old one, which is 15 years old, hardly works anymore)

Sir Kenyth 12-04-2001 05:27 PM

Yup! I know what I'm getting! The same bag of rocks and coal I got last year! :D I got a surprise for the fat man this year though. I got a slingshot and I'm gonna pelt him with last years present while he does his fly-by this year!

This is what the black box is going to sound like!
