In any message thread, you can click on the 'Printer Friendy Version' and it will open a new window with that thread, but with nothing but black and white text (and smiles if they are there).

This is HUGE...I always write out threads that are more than 3 pages long, to catch up on them, and this makes it alot easier, because I don't have a colour-writer :D
