How many people here have read Lord of the Rings or The Hobbitt?

Bilbo is so funny. He combs hos feet!

Sir Exxon 11-20-2001 03:41 PM

Neb 11-20-2001 03:49 PM

I've read both the Hobbit and LOTR, loved 'em both, can't wait to see the LOTR movie, I hope they make The Hobbit into a movie too! That would be cool.

Istaron 11-20-2001 03:50 PM

Oh yeah (is it just me or do I type "oh yeah" all the time?). I have the book, but I never read it. Is it any good?

Barb 11-20-2001 03:59 PM

Bilbo better be played well. Gandalf and other people aren't hard it's the hobbits that have to be played right.

Legolas 11-20-2001 04:40 PM

*Jump up and down, waving his arms 'like' crazy*

Yes! Yes! I did! I did! Over here!

Alright Legolas, back to your sharp-objectless room...

Well, it is very good. Though, written in an extremly boring way. So self-dicipline is a must!

What is the simmilirion?

I just read the Hobbit and I'm 1/5 of the way through fellowship of the rings. The prolouge really is a killer to read. It's so boring if you've already read the hobbitt

The silmarrillion comes before the Hobbit, and tells about the creation of Middle Earth, and all the races, etc. Kind of boring, but good if you can struggle through it.

I'm almost finished with Fellowship of the Ring! I think I should be checking myself in for LOTR fever.. I'm so glad I started reading around this time. I cant imagine being so crazy about a book without the cool imagery that the movie and the game are providing..(game being the one produced by Games Workshop. Those environments and battlefields are such a good source of imagery and inspiration)

I've got the new LOTR edition.. the one with the Ringwraiths riding on the cover. I've got the same image on my wallpaper :D

Barb 11-21-2001 11:24 AM
