The west sector of Goriffen Dale is calm and still under the morning sun, seemingly peaceful, even though it is quite a different sight at night. Several wagons passed you, the horsemen didn't stop to look. Around the corner of the street, a beggar examined you for a while, then turned about on his own business. A little boy sat in the shade beside an old and web-covered house. You looked at him and suspected that he is actually a halfling. Uninterested, you continued walking, this was your first time coming to the great city, capital of the Imperial West. Fortune seekers like yourself always dreamt of being in this place, where legends are made by men and told through the realm. So now, you are here... A flyer danced through the whirlwind, and stopped at your feet. The thug's grin grew bigger, apparently, he thought you are an easy meat. He leaned to you closer, making you smell his odor from bad liqor and lack of a bath, and said "heh heh heh, doubt ya can leave here without fillin me purze, fivty silver piece, wut ya say erh?" |

He waved couple times, as if signaling someone Then he seized laughter and half teasingly responded you: "hey, I like ye tone, but I'd watch it if I ar yez. ne wayz, how 'bout I let ye walk away wiz twunty silver piece?" He seemd to be amused by your threat, so he added "that iz ye mosht fortune, ye know?" |

The thug's face suddenly darkened. He whistled, and five other thugs came out of nowhere, two of which stood behind you, cutting your escape route. Each one of them carried a long sword, one in the back had a bow in hand. The first thug, now properly introduce himself "Coral, at ye service" His eyes narrowed to you threatenily as he continued speaking "ye've outdone yeself thiz time, berk, now hand over everytin ye huv!" You tried to leave, but the two thugs behind attacked without a warn. You agily parried the long swords, kicked the first lousy thug in the thigh, who stumbled backwards, nearly fell. You heard bow string ringing, you made a quick step to the right just as an arrow pass you by and missed you by an inch. The movement left yourself vulnerable, the thug that were still standing in front of you thrash at you for the opening, and scored a minor hit, your eyes windened with anger Coral laughed happily, and signaled other two thugs to stop advancing "hahaha, is that all ye huv? boy? I waz expectin sumtin more erf a challenge, hahahahaha." The first thug finally restored balance and came after you from behind. Knowing your back is open, you blocked the second thug's sword, stepped forward and push your way out of harm. The first thug's sword made a wild cut at where you were couple seconds ago, he cursed loudly for his misfortune. Coral yelled "One round of darkbrew buzz fer ye if ye can cut 'im, Lloyd!" Lloyd, the thug who cursed at his luck, was apparently excited by the prize his boss had just shown. He began a renewed attack with a wild frenzy. Even though his sword cutting aimlessly, yet it had cuased you enough annoyance. The second thug was hard pressed, and he was relieved when Lloyd once again joint the fight "ye, get the little punk!" Another arrow flashed pass you, scrapping your arm. blood dripping freely as you waved your sword hand. Things don't look good "oh crap, should of given the money" you cursed for your own stupidity |
