I know this is only for Baldurs Gate topics but I am getting desperate and I know that everyone here is intelligent enough to cut me a little slack on this topic. I am looking for a RPG that is like D&D games where in you build a character from "the ground up" but the time line is set in a 20th century military environment. PLEASE no first person view games. I like the baldurs gate style gaming experience.

I think this belongs in the General Discussions section, MANY more people come there anyway.
Sorry, can't help you, I can't think of any game like that... http://www.ironworksforum.com/ubb/no...les/ponder.gif

Ah, I'm sure Ertai will move it to GD when he finds it. Don't worry http://www.ironworksforum.com/ubb/no...iles/smile.gif

Come to think of it, I haven't seen Ertai around much lately, only one post in the past 3-4 days or so, or something like that? Come back, spiritual leader! I need someone to keep a safety valve on my ego! http://www.ironworksforum.com/ubb/no...iles/smile.gif

LOL, yep, Ertai treats this forum so well that we begin to wonder when he's away for a bit http://www.ironworksforum.com/ubb/no...miles/wink.gif this is his own private domain, I've never seen any of the other mods or Ziroc here, but he takes very good care of it by himself http://www.ironworksforum.com/ubb/no...iles/smile.gif. Thanks Ertai! http://www.ironworksforum.com/ubb/no.../xyxthumbs.gif
And I'd say the safety valve on your ego is already blown since you've managed to answer EVERY BG2 question in, what, the last 2 weeks? http://www.ironworksforum.com/ubb/no...les/tongue.gif http://www.ironworksforum.com/ubb/no...miles/wink.gif j/k

Thank for those words you all !! http://www.ironworksforum.com/ubb/no...iles/smile.gif Ive been very busy lately, ive been learning C++ in Linux at the university, and i havent had too much time to connect. Ive tried to keep up checking, but i havent posted too much. Anyway, i already finished that seminary so ill be back ! Plus im getting DSL soon and when i get it i will have unlimmited connection (i dont have now http://www.ironworksforum.com/ubb/no...iles/frown.gif). It seems you all have managed the forum so well without me, that makes me feel so good ! Its great to see that members are so nice and helpful that they dont need a moderator crying all the time http://www.ironworksforum.com/ubb/no...miles/wink.gif.

Well, about the question, i think it´ll get a better answer at GD, so there´s it going ! http://www.ironworksforum.com/ubb/no...iles/smile.gif

There was an old game called Breach and a sequel called...wait for it...Breach 2. These are the games I first thought of, but I think there is a Science Fiction angle in them.

You could try Arcanum. Its not 20th century, but it does a good job of fusing the Industrial Revolution with Magick and fantasy creatures..

Commandos?

It's similar to BG style, but it's WWII era.
