I chosen mine because one of my friends used to call me Byron cause my hair were like Lord Byron's. It started out with me needing a name for a BG2 sorcerer, I read a few fantasy books to get some inspiration and came across the name: Nebucadnezzar, some time later, where I was looking for a name for a Fighter/Thief, I was too lazy to make up a new name, so I just reversed the old one and got: Razzendacuben, which is the name I use whenever I need to create Fighter/Thief, it also spawned two new names: Dacuben(My Paladin name.) and Razzen dac Uben, making the "Uben" his last name and the "dac" something that ties it together.

Well, Loki is one of my favorite Villians and I always name my thieves in games that.
In the comicbook series Sandman (my alltime favorite) Neil Gaiman has Odin refer to him as Loki, Skywalker. I thought it was neat, so I've been using that name on most of the forums I join. At yahoo clubs I'm lokivt, someone else had skywalker. And I do like Star Wars too! I wonder if there is a connection between Luke and Loki. Wonder if Lucas was a reader of Norse Mythology or if it's just coincidence? quite a simple answer to this, really. "Debaser" is a kickass Pixies song.....and i though it just sounded like a badass IW screen name. Think about the meaning of it....to debase.....kind of a grimness to it

I had been lurking and wanted to answer a post on the old BG2 board. Suddenly needed a nick to register. Began thinking.. wanted something pretty with a bit of mystery, thought of Storm (x-men) and that suddenly got me thinking weather.. and Cloudbringer sounded elfish.. so I just typed that in and voila! Cloudbringer was born.. now of course I started collecting new nicks about a week after I began posting so now I've got a couple bags of holding full of nicks.. all of which have some story or other person involved! HAHAHA!
Most memorable for me is the first one, Storm Queen. Sazerac -> A cocktail created in New Orleans during the 19th century consisting of wormwood (Absinthe), bitters, and sugar. Later, when Absinthe was outlawed as an illegal narcotic, Anisette was substituted, along with whiskey. The original Sazerac bar still operates in New Orleans, and is also the namesake for a type of jazz that emerged during the 30's and 40's.
Why I chose this: First, I'm originally from Louisiana, and wanted a name that was unique to my home state. Also, I love that form of jazz music. Secondly, it's a great-sounding wizard or sorceror name, and one I've used for my characters (and NPC's when DM'ing) PnP games. Well all the dwarf names were taken and I settled with the closest thing to a dwarf. Sigmar the human(only warhammer players will know what I'm talking about). For a while I thought about changing my account name to Cypher but I decided to stick with Sigmar.
