Memnoch 10-21-2001 10:59 AM

This is NOT a trick question! http://www.ironworksforum.com/ubb/no...miles/wink.gif

For a while now I've been under the impression that my sleeping habits are abnormal when they may be in fact normal. http://www.ironworksforum.com/ubb/noncgi/smiles/wow.gif

Sun-Thursday nights I go to bed at around 2 am (get home from work around 7-9 pm, couple of hours of dinner and TV etc, then hop on here, then read) and wake up around 8 am to get to work by 9 am. That's SIX hours of sleep a night on average.

On weekends if I'm not going out (where the hours get REALLY weird) I'll usually sleep at around 4 am and wake up around 2 pm, unless I have shit to do during the day (like going to the beach, etc. http://www.ironworksforum.com/ubb/no...es/biggrin.gif ). With summer coming I can wake up at 5 pm and still make it for three hours of sun at the beach. I guess I'm more of a night person!

What about you guys?

I'm about to go to bed now, btw - 1 1/2 hours ahead of schedule. I have a pretty big night last night - as Javi and Rikard will know. http://www.ironworksforum.com/ubb/no...es/biggrin.gif

Looking forward to some feedback! http://www.ironworksforum.com/ubb/no...iles/smile.gif

Well, it depends, if it's a schoolday the next day I usually go to sleep somewhere between 11 PM and 1 AM, if there's NO school the next day then you can count on somewhere between 1 AM and 5 AM, if I'm up late chatting with Sephiroth then it'll end up being somewhere between 5 AM and 1 PM.

I usually try to get 8 to ten hours of sleep during school days, but after a bit of IW/reading I usually find out I've got less than that http://www.ironworksforum.com/ubb/no...miles/wink.gif
During weekends it's usually something like one a.m. till eleven, but sometimes I go to bed at three or wake up at one. It really differs from day to day, but I find myself becoming more and more of a nighttime person. You're not alone http://www.ironworksforum.com/ubb/no...es/biggrin.gif

So funny, Memnoch! My sleeping habits are much the same as yours. I only need about 6 hrs. of sleep each night (I can hardly make myself sleep longer than that), so I generally stay up until around 2 AM and then get up around 8 AM the next day.

I, like you, tend to be more nocturnal than diurnal...my best work I do during the evening hours. I also prefer autumn and winter, when the hours of daylight are shorter.

Cheers,

I have only gotten six hours of sleep per night for years! If I needed more, I'd be dead by now! http://www.ironworksforum.com/ubb/no...es/biggrin.gif on Sundays-Thursdays I go to bed between 11 and 1, (same as you there Neb) and wake up at 6 every morning http://www.ironworksforum.com/ubb/no...iles/frown.gif, on Friday and Saturday between 12 and 3 or 4 http://www.ironworksforum.com/ubb/no...iles/smile.gif and wake up between 8 and 12 http://www.ironworksforum.com/ubb/no...iles/smile.gif unfortunately my parents often kick me out after 9...

If I get more than six-seven hours a night, my body clock goes back to sleep and I feel more tired when I do get up. Strange, huh! http://www.ironworksforum.com/ubb/noncgi/smiles/wow.gif

Not really so strange...it's called the "Circadian rhythm", and everyone has a different one. It's also that if I stay up longer than a certain number of hours, I can't get to sleep! For example, I start getting really sleepy around 2 AM, but if I force myself to stay awake, I get over a "hump" and then I'm up until 6 AM. (Weekends and holidays only, natch!) It does catch up with you, though.

Usually sign off about 11:30 and asleep by 12:30. Have to get up at 5:30 for a 7:30 start at work. Weekends are variable - 1:30 probably.

Of course, if I have a great CRPG to play (c'mon WIZ 8), then I will usually get to bed at 3:30, and survive on 2 hours sleep per day zzzzzzzzzzzzzz.....

You're telling me! http://www.ironworksforum.com/ubb/no...iles/smile.gif When I took four months off between jobs and just after the Olympics here, I ended up with backwards hours too (sleeping at 7 am whether or not I'd gone out the night before) and waking up at 5-6pm. I hardly ever saw the sun. I even took to having "breakfast" at 7 pm, "lunch" at 12 am, and "dinner" at 5 am, just before sunrise. It was really hard to break the habit, but I did it. http://www.ironworksforum.com/ubb/no...es/biggrin.gif

people here say I have realy bad sleeping habits...does any one else think this?

Sleep, is that a trick question ? my average is around 4-5 hours
dialy. Between work, being a parent, a friend, and a relative
amongst trying to do thing's that have a meaning who has time
for sleep ? My work day consists of an 8:30am to 6:30 pm
day with an hour drive there and then an hour back. Then starting
dinner going over my daughter's homework eating dinner. Quality
time with the family and all that other good stuff. I crave the weekend's.
That is the only time that I get to sleep around 6 hour's before either my
little girl wakes me or my body kick's me out of bed.
It's glorious having mild insomnia, It really does help.http://www.ironworksforum.com/ubb/no...es/biggrin.gif
