Larry had stayed up almost all night brooding over the loss of his twin scimitars that were really not his to begin with...at least that is what the swords said...but now he had a new companion. A blue-hued Katana. No doubt there was secrets bottled up within her just as they were for his Scimitars. He had been in the presence of those that he called enemy until recently, though his goddess, Aerie had guided him to their side. Mistral, an odd lady was to accompany them as well. Where was this small quartet headed? What had the Gods in store for them? Should he leave their side, now that he has made amends? Obviously, his Father had somehow came upon these Scimitars in his travels. It must have been his will for his son, Larry, to return them to their rightful owners. Now, K. Spree tells him that this Katana is his. It is beautifully crafted. Quite a treasure to behold. And of course, perfectly weighted to be a killing tool. It felt better in his hand than the Scimitars did. More suited to his fighting style. He was waiting for a chance to practice with it, but first he wanted K. Spree to fill him in on any ...oddities that the sword might have. Surely it is magical, for the blue radiance it projects. Any beautiful artifact as this, made by elves, will always have something. Quite interested to know, he runs to catch up with K. She'd forever kept her family Blade Of The Vines, but the scimitar was quick and managable. Though she reminded herself, at times she would need both blades. She then turns to Larry, watching as he examines the Katana.~ "As I've said, it belonged to my father, Cyrus Nightblade. If you'll notice the same scythe symbol that's on my wrist is at the base of the hilt. That will tell you that it originated with sea-elves. She re-sheaths the blade and wonders where Deiter is. She puts it aside in her mind and looks behind Past's patch. She sighs and whispers.~ "I don't think you're ever going to see out of that one again bud..." ~The wolf licks her chin and the half-elf laughs.~ "You don't care, just so long as it dosen't interfere with that big stomach of yours." ~She pulls a small bag from her cloak, taking a shred of dried meat and dangling it above the wolf's head. The wolf looks and whimpers. She chuckles and gives him the meat, standing up and dusting herself off.~

Mistral watches KS and Larry, her dark brown eyes barely hiding an envious gleam. How nice it must be to have a family, and better yet, to have some artifacts reminding them of the past. Her eyes close and after a struggle, a tear escapes and rolls silently down her cheek. She hurriedly wipes it away, hoping that the pair have not seen her. She hopes they will move on, once Deiter has arrived. ooc: Okie, I'd better be good now... ta-ta. |
~She swiftly maneuvers the silver scimitar, the katana nearly hitting her ear. With new-found determination she pushes the familiar blade downward, trying to get a clear shot at Larry's face.~

ooc...Mistral...do you mind if we make an adventure around your character???
You could give us a reason to find something that belongs to you or your family. You may ask us to locate an item, or some sorta family heirloom that has been stolen from your heritage. It would give us all a reason to continue...but we would need you involved as much as possible... unless you were to vanish somewhere, and we wer to come looking for you. Let's say that Bounty hunters came for you, and that we resolved to save you...since K.S and I are rangers we could track your captors...and you could post from your side of the story as the captive, all along giving us clues that we could use in following your lead. It would work, and be great! Please say yes! Larry, not realizing the strength in his sparring partner, nearly lost the side of his face as he quickly parries up to catch the blade aimed for his head. Pushing it on up and out, he spins around, acting as though he were to cut low, but finshes the swing with an upward arc, aimed at K.S's left side. I have never had anything which was not earned by my own wits and abilities!" ~Eyes still flashing~ "I am hunting.. for what, I do not know. But you, you have never trusted me. You wouldn't tell me about what happened before I arrived, and now you gleefully show off the very objects that were passed in front of my eyes when I came up to you... I am tired of being treated as an outsider!" Driven by her uncontrollable anger, Mistral storms out of the cave. |

Unfortunately when her feet re-aquaint with mother earth, Deiter's green eyes look troubled behind her. She turns to see Mistral running away. Her blue eyes look helplessly on. She bites her lower lip and motions for the both of them to stop.~ "I'm sure the last thing she wants right now is to see us wielding our history. If we let her cool down I'm sure all will be fine."

It's just as well that I leave these molly-coddled fools behind , Mistral rants silently, aware that she is reaching the brink of unreasonable fury. It's not fair that I've never belonged anywhere for as long as I can remember. It's not fair that the three of them have such camaraderie… but then, life was never meant to be fair. Not, at least, for me… Mistral runs blindly on, oblivious to her surroundings.
By now, she has lost all sense of direction and is counting on Lady Luck to bring her to the city. The part of the forest she is in, is screaming with silence. This place is so quiet, it's creepy… A twig snaps behind her. ~Spins around, hands customarily gripping her katana and long sword. As she blinks her eye, she seems to see a shadow flitting off. Adrenaline rushes into her blood and she peers around intently.~ I could have sworn I saw something. ~Reluctantly turns and walks on quickly, her ears straining to listen for footsteps. Unfortunately, the only ones seem to be her own…~ Distracted, Mistral fails to see the uneven ground and sprains her ankle. Grimacing, she cradles it with her hands and is dismayed to see a small lump gently forming. "Larry! Killing Spree! Deiter!" Her voice echoes into the stillness of the forest. The forest seems to mock her in return… This time, there is no mistaking the footsteps behind her. Hurriedly, she tries to get up, but moans as a sharp pain reminds her of her newly acquired injury. She turns quickly to see a towering man, accompanied by a female elf. |
~Looks at Larry comfortingly~ "She's a big girl, she'll be fine." ~Past walks over to Larry and licks his hand, trying to get attention, or food, either way...~
~Killing Spree's gaze turns to Deiter.~ "Plan... Hmmmm..." ~Scratches a scar on her cheek thoughtfully then grins pulling out her scimitar.~ "How 'bout me and you practice with these things?" ~Gives a 'foxy' grin.~ "And the winner gets..." ~Looks around, her eyes stopping at Past.
