Hello.
You may, or may not, remember me. I used to be a fairly active poster on this board, and several others. I'd like to apologize to anyone who feels that I left abruptly (I did) or anyone who felt slighted. My personal, and professional, life has taken a serious path downward. At the moment, I don't have regular access to the 'Net, or I WOULD be here daily. My health has been declining in the last few years, and it turns out that it has gotten much worse thatn I thought. I'll try to get access later, and try to increase my time spent with y'all, my friends. I wanted to apologize to those who felt I left badly. I love you guys. First, thank you everyone for your sentiments. Second, Cloudy... since I can only access the Ether from public terminals for now, ICQ or MSN is not an option for me... I can still check email sporadically. To you, SweetCloudQueen, I owe the largest apology. I should have at least explained before I pulled my disappearing act. Mea Culpa. Por favor, disculpame... OK... let's get this out of the way. I don't want to dwell on this, nor do I ask for sympathy or pity. PLEASE, I'm not very gracious when people treat me differently because of my health. That was one of the main reasons I stayed away... Short story on my professional life... The company I worked for basically lied to me, and falsified documentation regarding my liscence to practice. I was given a choice by the state Board of Health to step aside and reapply for my liscence next year. Belive me, it was a LENIENT ruling for me personally. My former employer was judged accountable. (score ONE for the good guys) While this was happening, I left my circumstances get away from me. As some of you know, I have had to undergo medical therapy for clinical depression before, after blaming myself for my mother's death. I let it take me again. And so, I closed myself off from EVERYONE. I AM NOT PROUD of the way I've acted. Believe me, I treated my RL family and friends worse. At the moment, my father and brother do not know when I am, nor do they have any way to contact me. I decided to remove the options of trying to "help" me with my health, so I have turned our communication "one way", I'm writing them via e- and snail- mail. I have touched on my physical condition as a child before. Long-story-short; I was paralyzed for 2 years from my chest down, due to a genetic condition. Years of therapy later, I was able to become a competitive swimmer. But, I always knew I still had this physical condition. In the last few years, it's been coming back. (yes, this knowlege also pushed me into the depression.) I'm prepared for it, but it still scares me. Several weeks ago, while taking a pre-employment physical, I was sent to the emergency room, and placed on an IV overnight. The next morning, I was diagnosed with Type 2 Diabetes. For most folks, it IS contollable. With my other circumstances, the complications for BOTH situations are multiplied. It was childish of me to cut out friends. I'm sorry. AND, I hope y'all don't think I've re-established contact for sympathy. I just NEEDED to explain. Thanks for reading, and I hove y'all let me ease back in with you. The Rudest one of All.... PS....
