My Best Friend's Wedding. I watched it twice in the cinemas, bought the VCD and have rewatched it at least 5 times.

The chemistry between the cast (Julia Roberts, Dermot Mulroney, Rupert Everett, Cameron Diaz) was superb and the plot timing was just right.

Ah, I have one favourite movie, it is not that well known, it is "L.A. Story". Very funny, very romantic movie, starring Steve Martin. http://www.ironworksforum.com/ubb/no...iles/smile.gif
(According to this movie, this is in L.A. that Shakespeare wrote "Hamlet II - The Return" http://www.ironworksforum.com/ubb/no...es/biggrin.gif)

And, in another register, "Serial Mother", with Kathleen Turner, of course. http://www.ironworksforum.com/ubb/no...es/biggrin.gif
"Do you recycle ? " http://www.ironworksforum.com/ubb/no...es/biggrin.gif

It's simple. Once the Planet is hurt, it gathers Spirit Energy to heal the injury. The amount of energy gathered depends on the size of the injury...What would happen if there was an injury that threatened the very life of the Planet? Think how much energy would be gathered! Ha, ha, ha. And at the center of that injury, wil be me. All that boundless energy will be mine. By merging with the energy of the Planet, I will be come a new life form, a new existence. Melding with the Planet, I will cease to exist as I am now. Only to be reborn as a 'God' to rule over every living soul.

How could I have missed Saving Private Ryan. What an exceptional movie. It gave us a small and limited glimpse into the horror of war and hopefully an appreciation for the trials endured by war veterans.

Yes, very gruesome. But then again so was that battle. Next time we see a veteran who stormed Omaha Beach we will have only a vague idea of what he went through and may still (emotionally) be going through.

Yes...

The whole thing was very gruesome, but It was also very realistic, and it is one of the only movies that does really give us an idea of how bad wars are

Saving Private Ryan was very moving for me. Having a great number of men in my family who were in WWII or Vietnam, this gave me a very good idea of the trials men in battle go through. I also love The Green Berets.

Other favorites of mine...

Excalibur
The Quiet Man
Donovan's Reef
Hatari
The King and I
Macklintoc (sp?)
Labyrinth
Legend
The Dark Crystal
The Neverending Story
Star Wars Trilogy
Star Trek IV and VI
Starship Troopers

Plus too many more to name. http://www.ironworksforum.com/ubb/no...es/biggrin.gif

Rain Man definitely. I first saw that movie when I was twelve, and have seen it 7 times since (I'm 17 now). I still like it very much. The way Dustin Hoffman plays Raymond Babbitt. Just brilliant.
If you know me well, you would be amazed that Rain Man is my favorite movie, though. I normally like movies like Star Wars, the Matrix etc.
