Since I asked and am curious about all of you, I'll start:
The oddest nickname I have ever gotten was 'Fred' (my r/l name being Brenda). One of my NOW closest friends dubbed me 'Fred' soon after we first met. For some odd reason, I also answered to it. http://www.ironworksforum.com/ubb/no...es/biggrin.gif When I asked her (much later) why she called me 'Fred', she said that the day she first met me, I was wearing a shirt that reminded her of the one Fred Flintstone wore in the cartoon. (Apparently something with orange and black on it). When next she came across me, she couldn't remember my name. The only nickname I ever really got was in Middle School.
My classmates called me "Webster" as they compared me to a walking dictionary. Sometimes I still confuse my students by using big words. Like just the other day I was describing a poem as rather poignant.
