<font color="cyan">I was just wondering, what u all thought was the hardest fight on either BG or TOTSC?

I think it is the fight in Durlags Tower where you fight the four emotions of a warrior.

It is a really, and I mean really hard fight. What you think?

the fight that finished the Durlags Tower quest ...

Consuelo 06-11-2001 06:53 PM

I don't have TOTSC, but I think the hardest fight so far was in Baldur's gate when you enter that one wizrards house(i think the one for the quest about the helm of balduran, i think)
anyway as soon as you enter there are some darn hard doom guards and about 4 invisible doom guards. hard stuff but probably nothing compared to TOTSC

Wulfere 06-11-2001 09:14 PM

Since I have never finished BG I would have to say so far it is the Fight in Durlags tower. very tough I thought.

<font color="cyan">I know the fight you are on about. Well, I have TOTSC and have completed Baldurs Gate.

Thankyou Consuelo.

Make sure you do this fight. It's worth it because if I remember correctly, the mage guy in there has a Ring of Wizardry. I think this doubles your level one spells. I suggest using it, but if you don't want it you can sell it for what I think was around 20,000 gp if you have a good reputation and charisma.

Beaumanoir 06-12-2001 02:45 PM

Yea Conselo! That's the fite i was gonna say! It took me so long! What annoyed me the most about it was one time i finished the fite but all my characters were down on hp. I went and searched the house and found another Invisble bugger who ripped me apart! I had to do the fite again! Grrrrrrrrrr

Well Drevlin that mage doesnt have the ring of wizardry. To get the ring you should visit a house in the map where the Flaming Fist headquarters are located in Baldurs Gate city. http://www.tgeweb.com/cgi-bin/ubb/no...iles/smile.gif

The Demon Knight at the end encounter of Durlag's Keep was kinda tough. Also, dealing with all of the wolfweres and werewolves on Werewolf Island was tough simply because there were so many of them.

I think that the toughest would have to be during one of my several tries at the end game when I accidentally activated Sarevok and all of his toadies plus a couple of battle horrors all at once...just because I approached from the right side of the temple instead of the left. That was dicey.

I thought the baddy in Ulgost Beard was the roughest until I used TraderVix's sugestion. Now I would half to say the 4 elves in Durlegs Tower are the worst besides the final baddy in the game.

dimon37 06-15-2001 10:03 AM

Elves!? errrr, no, they are dwarves. I was VERY ready for that fight, so it was rather easy for me (3 fighters with all kinds of spell up, like bless, chant, haste, Defence harmony) plus summoned about 16 skeletons. SO far the most challenging fight was with AecLetec (untill I found a good strategy). Also fighting all the cultists was rather hard because all my guys were fatigued.

Beaumanoir 06-15-2001 04:52 PM

I know what mine should of been, but It wernt, when i Killed Gorion! It took me ages to figure out how to, but i did it with a downloaded character!

1st I cast deathspell (didnt work)
theni cast flesh to stone
and then I kicked ass!
HAHA

Volourn 06-17-2001 12:41 PM

The four dwarven spirits in Durlad's Tower were really tough. Also trying to fight Sarevok, and his friends in full-blown combat was difficult. The Demon Knight was easy to me as he used a simple pattern - fireball, dispel magic, or melee over and over again.

When I first played, I thought it was Tarnesh that you fight right before you enter the Inn At Friendly Arms.. I could never get by him...Until someone told me to pause the game, equip wand of (I forgot the wand imoen has) and hit him with that, then go attack him...I died like 200 times before..

Xod 06-20-2001 12:45 AM

Definitely the Demon Knight in Durlag's Tower, he cleaned my clock the first time!

Wolfgang 06-20-2001 11:45 AM

My hardest fight was not a person it was tring to get back from the cloakwood forest after having flooded mine there. I lost one person when I was in the mine and I was ambushed between every point in cloakwood. What made this so bad was I really cleaned up in the mines and I had to drop some things to make room for all my NPC armor
