They are arresting a man in camaflauge at the Pentagon right now, searching his black van, also there is some package or case in the road that they are staying clear of, bringing out the bomb sniffing dogs. Don't know what is going on, could be yet another false alarm. Gets so now when I hear "Live Special Report" said on TV, my heart freezes.

Now reporters are saying they "exploded" that case that was in the road. Detonated by police. Not sure if that means if it was a bomb or not???

Anyone else heard anything their news about this?

I just heard the story you were talking about. The bomb squad blew it up. They discovered there wasn't a bomb. Looks ok right now.

I dissagree. Yes, people are jumpy. Sometimes rightfully so, sometimes not. Personnaly, I think that we will see more "attacks" as soon as the US retiliates. Of course, those attacks might not only be centered on US soil. They will be all over the western world.

The bottom line is: people are jumpy because they are scared. That fear will not go away for a long, long time because people in North America (US and Canada) have been living in this little bubble of invunerability and security. Personnaly, I'm not scared. I've been telling myself for the last 5-6 years or so that I'd better accept the idea of living in a world filled with terrorism. Therefore, I wasn't "suprised" at the acts (in fact, not many people should have been) that we just witnessed. I was more suprised that terrorist managed to hijack 4 planes at the same time than them crashing in the WTC.

I think that this was only the begginning and that the rest will hit us. Maybe tomorow, maybe 2 months from now. Future terrorism acts might not be as big or has damaging but they sure will be present and will become a way of life for us.

I disagree

this is not an attack, it is a set up

so there will be no more attacks

Hmmm. Well, I hate to agree here, but considering how widespread and fanatical these terrorists are, I wouldn't be surprised if another attack happens (either BEFORE or AFTER) a retaliation

I agree with you. We can only hope that everything works out where we can disable them before anything REALLY serious happens. (I've been hearing alot about biochemical weapons lately.)

Definetly something going on at the Pentagon. I drove by today and rubber necked a couple of new things. Lady Z, sooner or later bus travel will find itself mainly stationed closer into an area of much less importance. The Airport I use and love is closed indefinitey.I am Still sad here. I contracted at the Pentagon for almost 2 years in the 90s. I know that it was mainly the fuel that hurt people. The inner core of the walls are red bricks in some cases in the walls that surrounds them. I see that a pre-thought hit is involved here and hate that ... humanity could ever do such a bad thing to itself.
Many of the honest working people have been now caught up in a race oriented scramble for life. Behind NYC I think that the DC metropolitian area has second place to every nationality there is. And why should I let the media or extremists dictate how I feel for my freinds of all nationalitys. Come on freinds ....from lands of greatness ....are we hated so bad that this is just the start of unthought butchery of innocent people everywhere. Where does any acheivement besides cowardly, chicken, slimy worm scum, snake food rejects...ever enter into the true Koran? You self-proclaimed pieces of ....******<----(well that was several mace hits.)
Sorry you guys that I have been bleak and down. I would have never imagined scum could belly crawl so low. Lower than heated molton whitened crustys instantly vaporizing your puketrid .......
We will be going uptown tomorrow to the Temple of Emaculate Conception. Not to worship structures or idles but to pray to have resolve and not war. (His flaming eyes on the ceiling Yorick....you must see.) Organs of majestic sounds. Incense filling the church itself. People full of life gathering for one purpose giving what they can and satisfied with nothing in return..
I think I am rambling now http://www.ironworksforum.com/ubb/no...iles/smile.gif You all are great and it shows in you writings and general feel to your posts. And..dont mind me to much I am riding on now. We will pay our respects and move on.
