General Woundwort's body was never found. It could be that he still lives his fierce life somewhere else. But from that day forward, mothers would tell their kittens that if they were not good, the General would get them. Such was Woundwort's monument, and perhaps it would not have displeased him.

no TV here, what happened?

Liliara 09-13-2001 01:37 AM

Type CNN news in your bar then on 'passengers voted to attack hijackers' to the right. Too upset to figure out posting a link. http://www.ironworksforum.com/ubb/no...iles/frown.gif

well seeing as how lilaria seems to be too hysterical or something to post a link, illl do it myself. http://www.cnn.com/2001/US/09/12/plane.phone.call/

It's simple. Once the Planet is hurt, it gathers Spirit Energy to heal the injury. The amount of energy gathered depends on the size of the injury...What would happen if there was an injury that threatened the very life of the Planet? Think how much energy would be gathered! Ha, ha, ha. And at the center of that injury, wil be me. All that boundless energy will be mine. By merging with the energy of the Planet, I will be come a new life form, a new existence. Melding with the Planet, I will cease to exist as I am now. Only to be reborn as a 'God' to rule over every living soul.

I'm no christian, but if im allowed to post here that article brings tears to my eyes, the part about one of the men having his 2 month year old daughter with him in particular. With this saddness I feel tremendous pride in the sacrifice those people made to save even more innocent lives. We all need to hang in there and honor the fallen with our thoughts and tears.

I must have been looking for sympathy in the wrong place. No, I am not hysterical. No, I didn't know that everyone knew that this one man was flying with his 2 month old baby. Sorry to have alarmed everyone!

I guess I am not invulnerable like everyone else on this board, I have occasions that it hits harder than others, I will try to keep my HYSTERICS to myself! http://www.ironworksforum.com/ubb/no...es/biggrin.gif

Christanty,yes..

Christanty maybe the reason this happened...now before jumping to conculsions, hear me out:

America was founded on God. When it first became a govermental country it was founded on God. Back in 1700 nobody thought diffrent, not too many people had the notiton that God didnt exsist. After a while, times started to change, they took prayer outta school. They took God out of public lifes. America is sliping from god, people. And this is where it got us.

So I am asking all Americans to at least consider becoming Christans, I am sure it will help you personally (it sure has me) and help America as a goverment. As well as many other things.

Thank you.

Is missionary work really appropriate in this thread? I respect your beliefs, and if you want to discuss converting others to them, why not just start a new thread?

don't fight us, Liliara, I am really tired tonight... sigh, sorry

but there is always room for comfort and caring!

"It gives me a great deal of comfort to know that my son may have been able to avert the killing of many, many innocent people," she said.

sigh, such words... but there is simply no more tears in me, no more angers, just remorse, and fire of vengence!

I will say something to myself from now on, whenever I get up, I will say this to myself, and before I go to bed, I will say it to myself, and I will say this to myself every second, every minute, every day, every time I have concious, over and over until it becomes true:

Yes you make your point well known and I thank you for it. Well at least one things for sure GRanger, we still live in a land where two people can disagree on something and one won't be shot for his/her beliefs by their goverment. They (the terrorists) can destroy our buildings and kill our fellow Americans but they cannot erase our Constitution or our American laws & morals. I think the biggest thing they did was piss us off and brother that was a VERY bad idea!!!

I agree with both Ranger and KHaN. However, I must clarify.
I feel the American people have stagnated. Through indolence and debauchery, most Americans have lost touch with the ideals of virtue and honor (especially high school kids and other youths. I'm in high school, so I have a pretty clear perspective). We should, as a nation, be more introspective. Much more. Philosophy and religion are, to me, very important. This is one of the reasons that so many foreign peoples hold grudges against America.
Everyone tends to think of Americans as indolent and frivolous, and in WWII the Japanese spread propoganda of the lack of control Americans possess. Sadly, these points have been proven with the monumental instances of racism and intolerance. Our lack of empathy for people other than our own also adds to this.
This is certainly a terrible event, but at least we have finally come together and become more enlightened as a whole. Pity that such a catharsis comes at such a cost.

I am tired of ths. America is a young country. Stop comparing it to countries much older. We will learn what we need to. In the mean time, stand for the country we live in, and stop romanticizing those in which we don't. No offence to our allies.

To the younger Americans here, the future of this country will look upon us as history. Do you want to be looked at by our children as the ones who put America down? I wasn't there, but sometimes what I hear about the Flower Children, and how they saw this country, it makes me sick. I don't want MY kids to see me that way.

On the subject of this being a young country, how many of the countries around the world started off as cultured and deeply philosphical as they are now? I also deeply disagree when you say we are dishonorable. Maybe I would have agreed 3 days ago, but not now. When will you join us?

As for racism, when was the last time you visited Africa to see what it really is? I as well as many of my countrymen, are tired of hearing of the difference in skin color because we no longer see it. It is a characteristic, like blonde hair or blue eyes.

Give America a chance! For a toddler, I'd say we are doing pretty good.

KHaN, I completely agree with you throughout this thread. Divine shadow, I disagree, but don't want to get into it here and ruin Liliara's thread.

I'm sorry you're feeling down. I read that article and my eyes got teary too. It is good to know that there are people like that out there though. You might never realize it, but they are there. Out of those 38 people there were enough heroes on that plane to selflessly save thousands by sacraficing their own lives. My heart goes out to their families, and I hope they can take comfort in the fact that their loved ones spared countless more families the same grief they are presently going through.

http://www.ironworksforum.com/ubb/no...les/mad111.gif This will be brief as not to disrupt this thread any further...America DOES NOT need to change it's religious views. You make the assumption that everyone in America wants to be a christian...news is that this is a very diverse country that will always stay diverse. To say that we need to change our religious views is absolute and utter insanity. You are basically saying that those that are not Christians are the ones that are 'ruining' the country are you not!!!!!!!!!!!

Enough said

I apologise Liliara for posting this in your thread, but felt a reply was warranted.

I do hope you find the comfort you need, but since I am not a Christian, I'm afraid I cannot provide it http://www.ironworksforum.com/ubb/no...iles/frown.gif
