What do you all think about Mosher Music eg. Limp Bizkit, Linkin Park or the mind numming Slipknot???
What do you think about the MOSH CULTURE as a whole????
And should it be played on the radio????

These are all questions I'd like to queery about with my fellow board membershttp://www.ironworksforum.com/ubb/no...iles/smile.gif
Or even anything you would like to discuss in general about MOSH.

In my opinion I think MOSHER MUSIC is a big pile of crap and as for the so called Mosh culture its even worse!!!!People wearing chains and getting peercings he there and everywhere is ridiculous, just to follow some fad. For example and I am sure Jerome will agree with me on this one that Moshers should really invest in soap powder to clean there clothes. They where them so often without washing they start to get all smelly and have holes in them. For example Jeromes little brother and his Linkin Park tophttp://www.ironworksforum.com/ubb/no...es/biggrin.gif

I have sampled some of there music and personally I think it is terribley depressing and slightly sucidal especially "orthodox" mosher bands like Slipknot and Korn. They just swear and have liricks that make you want to top yourself!!!

Somehow I think that the outcome of all this music will only lead to one thing death or killing because the way some of the bands liricks go its enough to get inside some peoples head and do some major rewiring!!!!

Anyway enough of me blabbering!!!http://www.ironworksforum.com/ubb/no...es/biggrin.gif I want to hear your opinion on the subject!!!!

THERE'S SLACKERBOY!! I knew we'd rout him out somehow! http://www.ironworksforum.com/ubb/no...es/biggrin.gif http://www.ironworksforum.com/ubb/no...es/biggrin.gif Where've you been hiding?

I'm familiar with the names of the bands, because of some of my students, but I've never really listened to them, so I can't really say one way or another. But "to each their own", of course. If it's a way to blow off steam, then what the hey. I was a punk/new waver back 20 years ago, and I'm sure that genre p'o'd quite a few people, too! I still look back on those days fondly, as I'm sure you guys will look back on the mosh/ska era with fond memories as well one day.

Hmm, well I do like Korn. Slipknot is ok, but I think they try to hard, there first album was beter then there new one.

Likin Park I cant stand..OVerall I dont like the Mosh Music and culture. Give me Black Sabbath any day, there is real music.

The Nu Metal or Mosh Music stuff really irks me, Rap/Rock slaughtered the rock genere, and Mosh Music is the aftermath.

Real Metal kicks mosh's ass any day IMO.

So if in the forest look behind you, because that where the ranger is going to be

The ranger looked at the place out side of the elven town near the river, he looked near the rocks, then they showed the way ....

<font color="cyan">I have to say, I think the music rocks.

It is talent, they can play, write and sing. I have to say that it is better than any other kind of music.

The culture is cool once your in it http://www.ironworksforum.com/ubb/no...miles/wink.gifhttp://www.ironworksforum.com/ubb/no...miles/wink.gif....but if your not then it can be quite intimidating. I dont want it on the radio, as it brings in other guys, townies and whatnot to listen to OUR music.

But Kerrang are meant to be releasing a seperate station, which is gonna rock!!

Grand-Ranger 09-10-2001 02:51 PM

Yes larry, they can write songs and play instruments wich is more then most people in the music biz can do these days. But sing? I dont know about that, they dont really sing, just scream really really agressvily.

Not that there is anything wrong with that, Pantera rocks, Philp screams all the damn time.

I don't have a problem with it. To each his own, I say! http://www.ironworksforum.com/ubb/no...miles/wink.gif Eight years ago I was 20 and fully into the homeboy scene (I did grow up in LA) and used to wear huge jackets and baggy pants, and the requisite baseball cap. Before that I went into my heavy metal phase with long hair. Now I'm in my clubbing phase. I'm a creature of fashion and fads, I'm afraid. http://www.ironworksforum.com/ubb/no...es/biggrin.gif

I did almost get killed in a mosh pit last year, when Da Bizkit played at the Big Day Out in Sydney. Someone died of asphyxiation at that concert. http://www.ironworksforum.com/ubb/no...iles/frown.gif
