I recently started a new game as a Female Fighter/Druid, and I decided that since the Anomen romance was the only one I never tried I should give it a try.

But I have completed almost every quests possible in chapter 2, and I spend more time resting in this game than I did in any other games, and I still haven't had a romance talk.

I thought it might be because I am neutral, or maybe because I am an Half-Elf. What exactly does I need to be to romance him?

You need to be HUMAN

trust me...as a female, anomen's romance is gay anyway. whiny little toad....i would love to crush his voicebox with the hilt of my sword!

Huh... odd. My character is an elf (CG sorceress), and got the romance talk with Anomen. Maybe you need high CHA? - Try sporting that 18 CHA ring for a while. Though I agree with the 'crush his voicebox with the hilt of my sword.' Or, since I'm a wizard, my staff :D

Why can't we have romance with someone cool, like Haer'Dalis or Jan?? He would do it... for a turnip. ;)

Are you sure only Humans can romance him? I have a natural charisma of 18.

I completely agree, Anomen is icky! Keldorn would be nice... but then again, he's already married... Jan would simply be strange... maybe Valygar... *sigh*
And, no, he's romancing my Elven LG Archer at the moment. Her Cha isn't that high either. *shrugs* I dunno...

I once played as a half-elf, and I could romance him. I never finished the game, so I started playing over again, this time as an elf, and the romance works as well, so it can't be that.

How high is your reputation? Maybe you need to highten your reputation a little? It could be a charisma thing too...
I don't think your class has anything to do with it... He should be pleased as long as you do good things. [img]smile.gif[/img]

I am a half elf archer level 18

I romanced Anomen, helped him with his struggle with Saark and advised him NOT to kill the SOB.

He got his knighthood, still romancing me.

He had his evil way with me in the middle of a cave whilst we were resting (on the pretence of talking to me in a quiet spot!!!!). (If I remember correctly, two or three times - I am such a slut).

Anyway after professing his dying love for me, a messenger suddenly comes before we go to Brynnlaw and tells us that his father is dead. And the SOB BLAMES ME!!! for advising against killing Saark, even though it meant getting his knighthood.

Well when I try to reason with him he buggers off saying he has to sort this thing out.

Huh Men. Typical.

Never did find him again, went to a few of his haunts but the a....... just upped and disappeared. Obviously I said the wrong thing.

Didn't stop me finishing the game though, better off without him blah blah.

Would have liked a shot at Valygar though, single available, celibate, erhmmm maybe not.

Anyone else has to same problem with Annoyman?

My charisma is 14, or 15, maybe 16 (can't remember [img]tongue.gif[/img] ) so it can't be a charisma thing since yours is so high. [img]smile.gif[/img] Maybe it's just the time and the place... Maybe you need to do a certain quest before... I really don't know. Try to find a page concerning romances in SoA, maybe it'll say more. [img]smile.gif[/img]

Anomen left my party too, after the messenger came. But I found him in the house of that trademan, and I convinced him not to kill him and to come back. So it all turned out okay. :D :D :D

I got tired of him and booted him of my party.

You could have found Anomen at Saerk's house, ready to kill Saerk.

What you do is try your best to convince him not to kill Saerk, and also make sure you tell hom how much you love him.

Anomen folds over pretty easily, as long as you say the right things. (I saved it before I tried it)

That, and he's all apologizy from what I remember. His blaming only really had to do with him feeling a bit confused after finding out his dad's death. (People do the oddest things when they grieve)

Good advantage from his dad's death, you get to move into Anomen's house and become his controling wife ;C)

Heh im Romancing anomen right now.
He didnt particulary agree with me being an Evil Priest of Talors but he got over it heh.

Anyway, i am a bit curios..when he asks if u would like to join the Order of the most Radiant heart...i usually say that i would like to if they would have me, that is to me the best option as the others r that im not interested. Is it the right option ?

And otherwise...Does the Romance get serious AFTER he gets his knighthood ? and WHEN does that little toad that says that his sis has been gutted arrive ?

I haven't tried the whole *Get Revenge* part yet. However, I have gotten his knighthood first, and I can say, from what I have heard, the Romance continues much longer if you get revenge first instead of getting his knigthood (There's more dialog). After you get his knighthood, there's only one more thing to do with him, and I'll let you guess that one...

In one of my games, when I summoned Anomen (i only got one character to TOB), it turned out that he had failed his knighthood test after all, and that he didn't regret failing it because he thought that the knights were a bit too stuffy anyway. This actually is one of my favorite Dialogs because Anomen has channged a lot since he didn't get his knighthood. (Imoen sure seemed to get along with him.)
