Is there some kind of downside to living in Europe? It's twenty to eleven EUtime now, and I am getting the impression that there is NO ONE ELSE HERE. I do not believe anyone except me has posted in nearly half an hour (although I may be wrong). I am SERIOUSLY considering staying up all night (hey, its a weekend) because whenever I check the forums the next day there have been dozens of new threads started and now THIS. When is the best time to check the forums? I dont want to spend all my time waiting for someone to post something I can think up a reply to. Is there another reason for this, am I just imagining it or does this have to do with the time differential?

Moridin 08-24-2001 04:48 PM

Hi Kaz,

I am here, but it sure has been dead today! I think it will pick up again around 7-8pm forum time as that is when most of the US people will be off work and at home. Not me though...going to the great MN get together (i.e. state fair http://www.ironworksforum.com/ubb/no...iles/smile.gif)

Good tip, yet 7-8pm forum time, that would be... er... plus six I think... 1 to two oclock in the morning my time? Or minus six, that would be 1 to 2 oclock in the afternoon. Either way Im not on the forum http://www.ironworksforum.com/ubb/no...les/crying.gif quite annoying there are some people I will probably never really meet this way because our forum times dont overlap (heck I was here for almost six hours yesterday)

That reminds me of our exchange to England last school year. It was 18 hours by bus and ferry, none of us got any sleep. On the way back, the driver miscalculated so that, instead of 9 a.m., we arrived at 7 a.m.
We had to call our parents at 4 o'clock in the morning to inform them. They were not happy but hey, we hadnt gotten any sleep, why should they?

Keep in mind that it's friday night. A lot of people like to go out for a drink or two, or pay a visit to the cinema to celebrate the fact that they have two days of freedom before they have to return to work/school.

They could be back later but by then it's going to be about 4 or 5 in the morning here. http://www.ironworksforum.com/ubb/no...iles/frown.gif

I aced three quarters of my tests and barely passed the math portion, but hey...it was ALL algebra and I haven't looked at an algebra equation in twenty five years so I feel pretty darn good.
I got registered, paid for my classes, bought my books....now all I need is a cool "Josie & The Pussycats" lunchbox and I'm in! http://www.ironworksforum.com/ubb/no...miles/wink.gif
