In BG my main characters were either a fighter or a mage. Never used any other class for a main character. (Except that one time I picked a ranger and got tired of her.) In Diablo 2 really like the Paladin, the Sorceress, and Assasin.

In BG2, I either play a Berserker or a human berserker dualled to a mage (which I'm doing now, a MEGA powerful combo)! It to my mind most closely resembles the class of "Battlemage" which I played a lot during my TES : Daggerfall days.

My favs in BG2 are:

- elven sorceror (completed the game)
- half elf conjurer (in its way to complete it)
- elven fighter thief (played for some time only)
- elven stalker (gonna play it soon in MP)
- human paladin (havent played but in my current game Keldorn is almost my 2nd PC, i love him)

In Baldur's Gate I like to play a Paladin (using the cavalier kit in BG2) and when playing Diablo 2 I like to play... a Paladin. Hmm.

BG1: I played through as a Ranger and then a Fighter/Thief (you've just got to love that back stab ability http://www.ironworksforum.com/ubb/no...iles/smile.gif ). Last time was as a pure thief...

BG2: ... who I dualled into a mage and even now I'm getting him to TOB. First time(s) round though I played a Fighter and then a Paladin (Undead hunter and boy did that help in certain areas!)

In BG2 I have tried half-elf fighter/cleric and a half-elf bard. So far the bard (skald kit) is my favorite to play. Would like cleric or mage next, I think.

I always have the overwhelming urge to play an undead hunter first of all and completed my first game with one.

Since then I've done it with a bard (lots of fun and a groovy stronghold), a ranger (Archer) Oh my god how much fun was that-heel cerberus, an elven sorceror who kicked Irenicus' sorry little arse almost single handed at the end.

I've also played dual class characters and other classes but I don't like clerics and thieves don't yank my chain sadly....

well, since i have soo many unfinished games, ill just post the finished ones... an Elven Fighter/Mage, another Elven Fighter/Mage, a Human Wizard Slayer, and an Elven Thief (gee, i wonder which is my favorite race?) i also have about 10 Elven Archers who are still waiting to complete...

and in d2, i mainly play a Chargadin (Paladin that uses charge, for those of you who dont know d2 slang)

My first ever character that I started in the AD&D world was a ranger. I was pretty much new to the RPG genre and I had no idea how to play the game having no experience with AD&D so I just used a ranger http://www.ironworksforum.com/ubb/no...iles/smile.gif

My favourite? Thieves. Especially Assassins. Now that is what AD&D thieves should be like!

In D2 I started with a barb but I got tired of him so I created an Orb Sorceress(using all Ice magic with a lil bit of fire and lightning).
My last 2 times with the game have been with a Sorc!

Why?

1/Cavalier, his abilities are extremely useful to your party.
2/Dwarf Berzerker, the king of hack and slash.
3/Ranger, so much charecter to use, best for roleplaying.

Diablo II: BOW AMAZON FOREVER! they have their downsides, ill admit, such as Duriel (almost all long range guys have trouble with the super enemies like Andariel and Duriel) but out in the wilderness bow amazon is cool.

I usually play a mage-type character, but for some reason, with the BG series, have had a lot of success with non spell casters, Have played a Paladin in BG I, a monk in BG 2 (loved that!) But am currently playing through BG2 again (for the romances) as an Archer and I have to say, he's a real handful... I think I like him best, though the quivering palm is truly the shite!

Elven Fighter/Mage?Thief and Human Fighter my first AD&D characters http://www.ironworksforum.com/ubb/no...iles/smile.gif. Plus when i started bg1 I wanted someone who could handle anything and just carried them over to bg2.

In Diablo 2 I like the necromancer, golems and corpse explosion!

In bg2 i play a monk or a kensai as for diablo2 i dont have it yet but i would prolly play a paladin.

Figther of some type (ranger, or straight fighter) suits my style. I'm starting BG1 over and I'm gonna play all the way through to TOB with a new fighter, may dual to Monk if possible in BG2.

Let's see: In BG1 and ToSC I played a mage. In IWD I played a mage. In BG2 a monk, which I plan on using in ToB (when I ever get around to playing it).
