I wish to come as close as possible to re-empower or re-make Sarevok's Sword of Chaos. I have the editing tools to do it, but now I need to find the description for what other powers this sword has. As you know, the description in the game just mentions that the sword can drain 1 hit point per strike.
My question is: Does anyone know what the full powers are for this sword? Like, just what do they mean by 'Chaos'. Any help is much appreciated. |
This is what Shadowkeeper has on it.
Sarevok's Sword of Chaos The blade of Sarevok, brother of <CHARNAME>, used in the battle they fought in faraway Baldur's Gate. <CHARNAME> prevailed, destroying Sarevok's plans and rescuing the Sword Coast from the brink of war. The sword itself defies identification, likely forged specifically for Sarevok to best focus the infernal energy he hoped to control. Much of its power died with him. STATISTICS: Abilities: each hit drains one hit point from the target and transfers it to the wielder. This will not heal beyond the wielder's maximum. Damage: 1D10 +2 THAC0: +2 bonus Damage type: slashing Weight: 10 Speed Factor: 8 Proficiency Type: Two Handed sword Type: 2-handed Requires: 14 Strength Not Usable By: Druid Cleric Mage Thief Monk |
You do know that it's in ToB, right? I assume you just want to reproduce it for SoA; if not, you can just buy the add-on, and you'll have the sword without any effort.

No, that's it. I was thinking of special abilities that are actually attached to Saverok, himself, rather than his sword: the stun effect, for instance. My apologies.

In TOB, if you install the "official" Ascension MOD, you will be able to upgrade the sword.

He also has some strange ability that seems related to Enrage. When it happens, he does a lot more damage.
But why create a super weapon, when there are already far too many super weapons in the game? :D |
This is the SOA forum, please watch what you say about TOB.

Which is why I like that NWN is coming out late this year. You can do lots of modding (creating) in that game. Oh, yeah!! :D |

</font>
No need to get defensive. You've bought the game, you can do with it whatever you like--from using the CDs as drink coasters to giving yourself a team comprised of Babylonian gods. :D I'm just wondering why anybody would want to give themselves more of an edge in a game that already provides an enormous edge to the player, if you follow me. That's all. |

See. :D Here I'll do it again just to let you know everything is COOL with me. :D and |
Gotcha. :D Now, what would have been nice was the ability to create your own weapon, paying so much for enchantments, imbedded spells, etc. I suggested something like that to the NWC folks who do the Might and Magic series before M&M VI. They liked the idea but never ran with it. Instead, the team at Bethesda Softworks came up with it, too, and added it to Daggerfall. My only problem there was the sheer cost involved--not so much in gold (which, being a non-linear game you could play forever, meant nothing), as in sheer boredom, because the quests for any guild quickly started repeating.
I wonder why the Bioware team never added that to BG2. Maybe it was too much trouble. |
Luvian...if u think logically and even just look at the OFFICIAL site on ToB u will see it mentioned about stronger weapons then the ones in normal SoA so why do stick your annoying nose into the matter ? it isnt a spolier as it is official information..so feel free to take your remarks elsewhere !

Here is an exerpt from dictionary.com, so that you can educate yourself: spoiler 1. A remark which reveals important plot elements from books or movies, thus denying the reader (of the article) the proper suspense when reading the book or watching the movie. 2. Any remark which telegraphs the solution of a problem or puzzle, thus denying the reader the pleasure of working out the correct answer (see also interesting). Either sense readily forms compounds like "total spoiler", "quasi-spoiler" and even "pseudo-spoiler". If you read the rules you agreed to when you registered an account here, you would know that spoilers are not welcome if not warned of beforehand. |
