When did the Brooklyn Dodgers move to Los Angeles? Didn't know they had 4. Who invented Pac-man? 'Pac-Man was inspired by a pizza with a slice missing. Namco designer Tohru Iwatani went out for the evening with some friends and then dove for dinner. The rest is history.' - OK I looked that up 5. Why is the famous clock called Big Ben? Sir Benjamin Hall - he had something to do with commisioning it (knew that one http://www.tgeweb.com/cgi-bin/ubb/no...es/biggrin.gif ) [This message has been edited by adam warlock (edited 06-20-2001 [This message has been edited by Staralfur (edited 06-20-2001).] |

I count 51 http://www.tgeweb.com/cgi-bin/ubb/no...es/biggrin.gif OK, Washington DC isn't officially a state, but it has it's own flag, and some of it's own laws.... I get confused sometimes, I'm not really ignorant; 1 head, 2 arms, 10 fingers, 3 ears...see. Having said that I live in the UK and I couldn't be sure how many counties there are. I don't think I'll be participating in this thread any longer. [This message has been edited by Staralfur (edited 06-20-2001).] [This message has been edited by Staralfur (edited 06-20-2001).] |
It is still 50 States still, Washington DC and some of the territories are in the house of represenatives, but they are not voting members nor are the ones who attend the senate.
There is a 101st member http://www.tgeweb.com/cgi-bin/ubb/no...es/biggrin.gif I think that's maybe what is the trick question. If there is a tie, the vice president votes to break it. The Vice President is the President of the Senate too. 2. No idea but Papaul comes to mind, or head of church on earth..or if you meant the actual name, were up to alot of John's 3. 1958 4. No idea but those guys sucked alot of quaters out of me and my friends... I do rember that the machines were by Bailey Entertainment and Midway. 5. No idea. http://www.tgeweb.com/cgi-bin/ubb/no...iles/smile.gif |
5/. It isn't. It is the clock tower that is called Big Ben - not the clock http://www.tgeweb.com/cgi-bin/ubb/no...iles/smile.gif

Tradition demands I make a mockery of serious questions, so here goes:
. 1. How many members are there in the U.S. Senate? . All male Senators each have a member http://www.tgeweb.com/cgi-bin/ubb/no...miles/wink.gif . 2. what are the popular names for popes? . None - they're not popular . 3. When did the Brooklyn Dodgers move to Los Angeles? . who cares? http://www.tgeweb.com/cgi-bin/ubb/no...es/biggrin.gif . 4. Who invented Pac-man? . Pac-God . 5. Why is the famous clock called Big Ben? . Because Big D*** was too rude [ ------------------ In the kingdom of the blind, the one-eyed man is pimp. http://lordraptor0.tripod.com/index.html http://www.tgeweb.com/cgi-bin/ubb/no...s/chickenL.gif |
LOL enjoyed the answers... http://www.tgeweb.com/cgi-bin/ubb/no...miles/wink.gif

The Answers
almost everyone had #1 right 1. There are two from each state for a total of 100 2. John, Gregory, Benedict, and Clement, in that order. There have veen 23 Johns (and 2 John Pauls), 16 Gregorys, 15 Benedicts, and 14 Clements. 3. according to my source, The Brooklyn Dodgers left Ebbets Field after the 1957 baseball season. 4. The inventor of Pac-man was 27-year old Turn Iwantani, who worked for Namco Limited of Japan, a producer of video games and computer software. and 5. Big Ben is not a clock. It is a 13.5 ton bell in the clock tower of England's Houses of Parliament. Cast in 1858, the bell's installation was directed by the rotund Sir Benjamin Hall, commissioner of works. The bell was originally to be called Saint Stephen's but the British newspapers renamed it Big Ben. there ya go! there will be quiz #2 in a couple of weeks http://www.tgeweb.com/cgi-bin/ubb/no...miles/wink.gif ------------------ http://www.tgeweb.com/cgi-bin/ubb/no...lame_Stand.gif http://www.tgeweb.com/cgi-bin/ubb/no...adamtitle3.gif http://www.tgeweb.com/cgi-bin/ubb/no...lame_Stand.gif |
