Well today was a beautiful day, most of it spent out shopping.

The cats got new toys that they won't play with LOL! http://www.tgeweb.com/cgi-bin/ubb/no.../hollering.gif

The dogs got new toys that they love! http://www.tgeweb.com/cgi-bin/ubb/no...es/biggrin.gif

I cruised twenty aisles of shoes at DSW Shoe Warehouse only to find that the styles I liked were out of stock in my size (the common 7 1/2) http://www.tgeweb.com/cgi-bin/ubb/no...les/crying.gif

I went to Wal-Mart looking for curtains for my bedroom and found all kinds of things I loved but that were all ten inches short of the width I need (or 10 inches too wide) http://www.tgeweb.com/cgi-bin/ubb/no...miles/crap.gif The sheers I found were all either too short or way too long, requiring that I cut and hem them http://www.tgeweb.com/cgi-bin/ubb/no...les/mad111.gif

Going next door to The Home Depot, I found two beautiful pots and picked up two beautiful plants intending to have them here in my bedroom on the shelf I just put under my window, only to find out from reading info on them on the internet, that they would probably have a better chance of survival outside. http://www.tgeweb.com/cgi-bin/ubb/no...miles/conf.gif
I forgot to pick up potting soil while I was there and was a half pot short of re-potting them. http://www.tgeweb.com/cgi-bin/ubb/no.../hollering.gif

I also forgot the most important item, another can of window glazing for the next set of windows I am supposed to start this week. http://www.tgeweb.com/cgi-bin/ubb/no...iles/uhoh2.gif

We did go to our favorite Mexican Restaurant and split a chicken quesadilla and had four beef fajita apiece topped off with sharing a slice of stick-your-teeth-together cheesecake. http://www.tgeweb.com/cgi-bin/ubb/no...es/xomunch.gif

Oh yeah and I found a purse I like for a reasonable price so I have a place to keep all that money I saved being deprived of shoes! http://www.tgeweb.com/cgi-bin/ubb/no...miles/wink.gif

Wow seems like it was certainly not an uneventful day for you Monihttp://www.tgeweb.com/cgi-bin/ubb/no...es/biggrin.gif
Shopping can get horrendously annoying sometimes and others it can be fun. Sounds like you got a bit of bothhttp://www.tgeweb.com/cgi-bin/ubb/no...miles/wink.gif

I think shopping is only fun when u have money and can plan to buy things. alot of girls i know like to "WINDOW SHOP" i just don't get it.
Why torture yourself looking at things that u know u don't have money to buy. But what every floats your boathttp://www.tgeweb.com/cgi-bin/ubb/no...es/biggrin.gif

That's just my opinion, I could be wrong.

Two out of my three cats will play with almost every toy I've ever bought for them. Go figure.

Don't ya know that Cats will only play with non-bought things? http://www.tgeweb.com/cgi-bin/ubb/no...miles/wink.gif Like shoelaces or something like a twist tie (Choc likes those) and Paper towel card board tubes--shreads those. hehe

Moni, sounds like you had a great day of shopping. We always buy toys for our cats because they look so cute, and then find out they could care less about them. Merlin loves a little piece of rope that he carries around and also a little crunchy ball (which we do buy at the pet store).

So funny you should mention shoelaces!!! I bought new laces for my tennies yesterday and guess who got the old ones last night and loved them? The cats.
Their favorite toy is sheets of tissue paper laid out all over the floor...see my homepage for more details LOL! http://www.tgeweb.com/cgi-bin/ubb/no...miles/wink.gif

My sentiments exactly! I write a list and follow it with blinders on LOL!
After forgetting the window glazing though (on the top of the list even) I am wondering how I will remember to read a note to myself reminding me to read my list! http://www.tgeweb.com/cgi-bin/ubb/no...miles/wink.gif

OH, I HATE THAT!! If I go somewhere, I expect to bring something home. No point in going just to be out and about. If you are just doing it to get out, go to the park, see a movie, go to the gym. If I want to window shop, I'll go to a window store. http://www.tgeweb.com/cgi-bin/ubb/no...iles/smile.gif Although I think the main reason girls window shop is so they can show their man what to get them for their B-Days, Anniversaries, Christmas, ect.

Sounds like things didn’t quite go your way. If it’s any consolation, all shopping trips are tragic for me. Not because I couldn’t find or forgot something but because I had to shop. If you pay close attention, I believe you can see the river Styx (which precedes the sixth level of hell according to Dante) circling all malls. http://www.tgeweb.com/cgi-bin/ubb/no...miles/wink.gif

So did you ever find the lizard templates you were looking for?

Moni 05-22-2001 10:23 AM

onthepequod,
http://www.tgeweb.com/cgi-bin/ubb/no...es/xyxwave.gif Good Morning!

The River Styx...yes I believe that! http://www.tgeweb.com/cgi-bin/ubb/no...miles/wink.gif

I am just thankful I was not shopping for clothes!
Too small for women's clothes and too big for little girl's stuff, it is always a nightmare. To top it off when I find a brand and size that fits like skin, the maunfacturer halts production! Makes me want to scream every time I look for clothes!

Am really pitying myself this morning for not finding shoes LOL the puppy came through the cat door last night and ate one of my leather clogs that I had left on the back porch.
It looked like he was going for Rex's boots first but couldn't get them back out the cat door LOL. Well, I won't wish for size twelve feet to keep that from happening again, I'll just remember to clean my shoes off so I can bring them in the house and pray that little turd grows big enough not to fit inside anymore! http://www.tgeweb.com/cgi-bin/ubb/no...miles/wink.gif

I did find a few worthy templates, thank you for asking!
I just need to pick and choose from the best among them and then re-draw it on a larger scale.

Wow! http://www.tgeweb.com/cgi-bin/ubb/noncgi/smiles/wow.gif You're far more talented than I. I would only be able to draw a stick lizard. http://www.tgeweb.com/cgi-bin/ubb/no...miles/wink.gif

OK, MANY years ago, I was playing Pictionary with some friends (for those who don't know, it's a game where you draw clues for your team, who have to figure out what you're drawing) My brother can draw, i can't. I intepret what HE draws. Well, on my turn to draw, I pull "cat". In my haste (the other team was moving quickly) I drew a flattened figure 8. The other team gets the answer, and my teams is ROTFLMAO with what I drew.

Fast-Forward 10 years. We are at a dinner, and stat playing again. Yup, I get "cat". When the whistle blows, I scribble the flattened 8. My brother jumps out, calling "CAT!!!". We spend the next 5 minutes roaring in laughter, while the other team is trying to figure out if we were cheating. http://www.tgeweb.com/cgi-bin/ubb/no...miles/hihi.gif
