Neverwinter Nights, as a Fighter8/Weapon Master7. Dang, that dude is great fun! 15-20 Crit range on a +3 Katana, x3 Crit damage! Oh, and Knockdown + Weapon Master owns absolutely and undeniably.

Call of Juarez. This game switches between the good and the bad character. as the good guy, i'm trying to run from the bad guy, and as the bad one, i'm hunting the good guy. Quite a different experience from everything i've played so far. Right now i'm entering a mine with the bad guy, the very same mine the good character escaped right before this chapter, so now, as the badass, i'm going to have to shoot my way through here, so i can continue the persuit. I'm really curious where this story is going.

For those who never heard of it, it's a first person shooter, in Western settings.

my mainstay for the last 8 months: Mount and Blade version .803. For those who don't know, it's a unique game - like a hybrid medieval combat simulation and RPG. Single player. A post like this about 8 months ago got me to check it out

http://www.taleworlds.com/
(you can try it till you're level 6 for free.)

Oh, and nice character Vesselle LOL. Jinxed AND bloody mess...

Damn, this looks nice, how come i never heard of it or seen it in stores ? How old is this game ?

Lucern 12-06-2006 10:03 PM

It's been in production for a few years. It's technically in beta :D . It's being made by few people, with little budget out of Turkey - you download it from their site, and if you buy it they send you a serial key that unlocks the game past level 6. It was only $20 when I bought it. It's got great combat once you get the hang of it, and it's even fun to get beat down until you do.

It's also got a nice array of mods, which are all trying to get back into sync with the new version (released last week). Aztecs vs Spaniards, 100 years war, Lord of the Rings. Great little game.

Galactic Civilizations 2. I sense another game addiction coming on. Get my resources built up, then it's 'Conan, the Space Barbarian' time.

WOLFGIR 12-07-2006 04:34 AM

Right this very minute I play this game "Stay alert at work", and I suck terribly and feel like a n00b even though I got the latest addon, new office and an add on called "even more work".

Iron Greasel 12-07-2006 06:42 AM

Righ now? Kingdom of Loathing. Currently I'm a Hardcore Seal Clubber. I was going for Oxygenarian, but dropped it when I saw those Christmas foods. I'm fighting the Crimborgs to get some more futuristic gadgets that I can later combine into Hyberbolic Chambers and other toys. And fighting the Knob Goblin Bean Counters to get some more meat so that I can buy some more skills and tasty food. Also, I'm trying to grow some Gloomy Black Mushrooms.

edit: When, in the impronouncable name of Cthulhu, did I become a Mephistopheles?

I'm going through icewind dale 1 for the first time..
with a party of one warrior, one hunter, one thief for traps/picklocking and one mage.

I got another party to, a warrior, hunter, 2 mages, one bard and a thief.

and for some days ago I started with a solo warrior. Got no reason to do that but it was kinda fun.

JrKASperov 12-07-2006 08:22 AM

Nox. I was trying to play this over LAN with my wife, but had to get used to the controls first. I think it's nicer than diablo.

What do you mean unplayable ? I finished the game and it wasn't even patched.

Olorin 12-07-2006 05:53 PM

Master of Orion: I'm in the middle of a game with a group of players online where we pass around a saved game and take turns playing for 10 rounds. We are the Silicoids, with some added handicaps to make it more challenging.

My last turn, I took Sol from the Humans, and sent troops on the way to another Human colony.

By the time it's my turn again, the Humans will probably be gone, and we'll be taking on the Darlocks, Alkari, or the Bulrathi. The Psilons will probably be our last conquest, because they have too much of a tech lead on us.

World of Warcraft - Pvping and raking up those honors and mark of honors for gm/fm items.

Ragnarok Online - I really don't know why am I still playing this.

Both are mmorpg. Unfortunated there's no more pc games for sale at my place for like several years already. Even underground market has no more new games for nearly half a year now. :(

I remember that the end left many questions unanswered, which is why the game got criticized so much, but i did get to fight the final battle and beat the game.

That happens only if you decided to take on of the four options presented in dialog to you the first time you talk to one of the sisters there. I played it without patches and it was playable, though leaving a lot of mysteries(due to rushed state).

Medival Total War 2, playing as the holy roman empire (terrible voiceacting in this game by the*) currently at war with the slimy Venice... (hey they started it!) found out it's almost impossible to negotiate peace in this game, no matter what you promiose them they won't give in the bloddy ...

Before that I was replaying Baldurs Gate 1 as a Fighter mage... never had tried Multiclass before very interesting.

Bungleau 12-08-2006 11:03 AM

Deadlock II, Shrine wars. An old one that I dug out of storage a month or two ago, and it's kept me addicted ever since. Gaming towards a specific mission... lots o' fun :D

Eagle eye 12-08-2006 05:29 PM

Minesweeper... playing as smilie guy. :D

I haven't played NOX in years. I, too, thought it was nicer than Diablo. How did you get it to run on XP (if indeed you are running XP)?

CONDOK 12-09-2006 03:25 AM

Im playing a game called FATE.Its weird and cool at times.Sometimes when your fishing, you catch fish with rare and valuble items in them.
"Possible spoiler info"
Caught that late.

Stratos 12-10-2006 07:12 PM

I currently play Command & Conquer: The First Decade. All C&C games since the original one.

Kyrvias 12-10-2006 09:50 PM

Dead Rising.

I swear, zombie killing never gets old.

vesselle 12-13-2006 12:16 PM

Sir Krustin 12-17-2006 01:38 PM

Nexus
BF2142

replaying far cry, chrome, BG2

Dreamer128 12-17-2006 04:17 PM

Deus Ex: IW
Nexus
Rise of Legends

Bozos of Bones 12-17-2006 04:38 PM

I see a rising popularity of Nexus here
I just finished HotU with my level 26 Wizard. That was one though fight.
UPDATE:
Current play list:
DEFCON(Oh God what an awesome game!)
Dark Crusade

Dreamer128 12-17-2006 06:07 PM

You mean that a grand total of two people are playing it right now?
How is Dark Crusade? I heard they pretty much took out the storyline..

Bozos of Bones 12-17-2006 06:14 PM

You know me, right? And you know how mad and crazily in love I am with StarCraft. Well, Dark Crusade is the first game I've ever played that has me wondering wether or not it is actually better than StarCraft. Nothing else came remotely close. Dark Crusade is that good.
As for the storyline, you aren't lead down one any more. Instead, you pick a race, and proceed in claiming the whole planet, capturing territories from other races. As you go about your way of genocide, xenocide or whateverocide and preach the holy Greater Good, Name of the Emperor, word of Waaagh or whatever you do, you uncover bits and pieces of the storyline and history of the world, the planet and the races involved, as well as some rather awesome plot twists and points of interest.
Play Dark Crusade. I place it within top 5 games released in 2006(the other four being GW: Factions, GW: Nightfall, GalCiv2 and DEFCON, in no particular order). That's got to account for something.

Dreamer128 12-17-2006 06:58 PM

Sounds interesting, although I'll have the buy the first expansion first. At the moment, GalCiv2 is on top of my list. Can you tell me how good the A.I. is?

Bozos of Bones 12-17-2006 07:06 PM

The AI is... weird. Sometimes when I play team compstomps with my friends we get trashed so badly and go "Holy Crap! That was on STANDARD!?", but other times they're really predictable and easily controlled. Luckily, there is a thing called Skirmish AI, a mod. Haven't played with it, but it's supposed to make the AI much more dangerous.

Dreamer128 12-17-2006 07:25 PM

Sounds great, Bozos. :D By the way, by 'teamcompstomps, are you referring to multiplayer or do you and your friends play as a single team? Multiplayer was the one thing I missed in the original. What options do you have? LAN, single computer, internet..?

Hivetyrant 12-17-2006 07:25 PM

When I'm not playing WoW (very rare) I have decided to re-visit Master of Orion 2 :D

Bozos of Bones 12-17-2006 07:50 PM

What do you mean you missed multiplayer in the original? DoW has always had great multiplayer.
By "team compstomps" I mean me and a few of my buddies in one team vs a team of computers. I play over Hamachi.

The.Relics Avatar 12-17-2006 11:59 PM

Now that I have the work-around, I'm playing NWN2.

Actually, I was referring to GalCiv2. My bad.
