Christmas is comming up and I intend on getting a game, Im deciding between Fable, or something that both me and my sister will enjoy, now, im not going to let her decide, but It needs to be something that she will at least play, some of these are Driver 3, the GTA's Some sort of Sims game, Bloody roar and so on.
But Fable does look quite nice, well, from what I have seen. So can someone give me a more in depth review? I have seen some reviews, but want to know what you guys think of it, because I know some of you have it. Either that, or could you suggest some other games that a 17 year old male gamer would like? I pretty much like most games. Exclude Halo, Halo2, Rally sport challenge 1&2 |
Well it would be a toss up between Fable and GTA: SA.
|
I dont think GTA: SA is on X-box..
Ok, maybe I didnt make myself clear, sorry, I need an X-box game |
In that case go with Fable (being evil has never been so good).
|
Fable is a n excellent concept, but pulls it off in a shoddy manner. The game is very short and a some moments repetative.
|
Ok, I have decided it is most likely out of Halo 2 or Fable unless something better is named.
Question, is Halo 2 co-op in single player? |
I'm a 17 year old male X-Box gamer myself (I think) and I would recomend Fable although it is quite easy to complete. However my 14 sister enjoyed it herself although you can't be a female character.

Quite sure you can co-op in split-screen, if that's what you meant. |
My friend has Fable, and MAN is it cool. Yeah, it's shorter than I wanted, but wow, the atmosphere and voice acting and music is SO top notch. Worth a week or two rental for sure! The quests are fun, and has neat RPG elements as well--you can woo chicks to marry you even. You can sneak and steal things and can grow up to be good or evil, depending on how you act and what you did as you live.
Great game! |
Very fun the first time through but after that it becomes very shallow. It is an awesome rental but its not worth buying in my opinion. You would get bored in less than a month.

Fable is tamed and very fun for younger gamers IMO. Halo 2 is more for the grownups (not meaning age of course), more intense yet teenagers of all ages play it too. Yes there is co-op in H2 in the campaign mode. You can do split screen. I think you and your sister will have a blast with either except that you can only play one person in Fable. Fable is cheaper of the two games if you buy used. If both of you like FPS and Star Wars, may I also recommend Star Wars Battlefront. Very fun and has good replay value.

Thanks for the suggestions everyone, I got Fable, though...If my sister dont like it...TOO BAD!!!

Keeps us informed about how your doing on it
|
Well, I did get it, and I have been playing it all of today....
IT IS THE COOLEST GAME EVER!!!!!!!! Well, maybe not THE coolest, but its down-right awesome, im only just infiltrating the bandits camp to speak to the seeress, but I have done heaps of quests and such and im loving it. Just a quick question, do all the demon doors contain evil stuff? Ive only beaten one and I got the Evil will caster suit. |
Lol, I have had it for a day, and I have already finished it
But although it was Kinda short, I have decided it is my favourite game of all time, I mean there is just so much you can do!!! Well, after I finished it, I thought to myself WTF!?!?! Why did they award me gold for the last quest when the game finishes and I have to revert back to an old save??? Well, I then procedded to see what the Good ending was like, and this time I let the credits finish, and low and behold I could play again!!! It is truly a great game. |
At the end did you throw the sword into the vortex?
If you don't you can carry on doing other quests you've missed out in the game, maxing out your skills and just doing whatever you like! |
Yeah, I kept it, but I found out that you cant take on the Guild wuests afterwards :(
I had sooo many Oh well, the only problems I have found are that 1: I cant find that pirates treasure 2: I cant find Lady grey's neclace 3: I still havnt pulled that sword from the stone (though I do know how) |
The final sword > any other weapon
|
Wait...you can keep playing after the credits?? Damn my impatentince...oh well * Goes back to KOTOR 2* :D
