To get things moving again, here's one question because it's easy. Let's hope we don't bog down like last time.
Mephisto is the Lord of Hatred. Baal is the Lord of Destruction. What is Diablo?
Nightowl2
|
Lord of Terror.
|
See? That didn't take long at all ;) You're right, of course, Kakero. Your turn now.

Nightowl2
|
Another fast one...I think.
1. In Morrowind. What item did you need to wear in order to wield Sunder and Keening so that you won't be damage? 2. In Icewind Dale 2. Whom do you need to defeat in order to get Holy Avenger? There are 6 enemies, name any 3. |
Damn.... No idea :(
|
1. I can't remember the name, but I think it was some ancient shield that would do over 200 damage the first time you equipped it.
2. I can't even remember the item. |
Question 1 is wraithguard.
|
Easy wasn't it? See, even Sakura is so happy! :D
http://members.lycos.co.uk/alahihi/hpbimg/sakura_2.gif you are next Aelia Jusa. |
Okay.
In which game could you build a roller coaster, bouncy castle, pirate ship, and steak restaurant? Name 4 of the 8 worlds you had to travel to in Ultima Underworld 2. Hopefully not too hard! |

Yes, Aelia Jusa. I just notice it. The answer is in his sig. LOL.
1. Roller Coaster Tycoon? |
1. Theme Park?
|

That means I should have won because I posted it before everyone else :D |
Theme Park is correct. Go LS0158!

Well, now that I knew the answer to one, it's hard to think of questions.
1. In Colonization, what was the advantage of choosing the English? 2. In Morrowind, you might find a guy that falls out of the sky and dies. What special scroll does he have? |
2. it grants you +1000 to acrobatics. I think it's called 'the scroll of Icarus flight'. Tried to duplicate that one for ages.. without luck. :(
|
Well the dutch got a merchantman, the French had a hardy pioneer, the Spanish got a... hmm extra soldier? Bonus when looting Indians? Something military, I'm sure. But I have no idea what bonus the English got! The pleasure of starting closest to the Carribean and having to build colonies on those puny islands and only harvesting sugar? Woohoo ;)
|
The Dutch got a merchantman? Talk about stereotypes ;)
|
I think it is because of the trade aspect of dutch colonisation in the americas. Each nationality got a starting bonus that reflected their general 'theme' or flavour as colonisers. Like the Spanish with the military aspect.
Actually now that I think about it the starting position was random and each nationality could start in any of four places. So there goes that theory for the English! I really have no clue. But I am feeling nostalgic to play again! |
Dreamer got it.
The English only needed 2/3 normal crosses to recruit a random person for free, so basically more people. The French got diplomacy, meaning better relationships with the Indians, the Spanish got a bonus when attacking Indians or their colonies, and the Dutch got the merchantman ship. I usually play the English since it's useful near the beginning to get the carpenters and farmers. It happens a lot less often later, but it's still useful to get a free colonist, even an indentured servant or petty criminals. Edit: the French get the hardy pioneer and the diplomacy bonus. I've only played as the French once before, so I didn't notice. Edit again: looking at GameFAQs, the Spanish are the only ones who get a veteran soldier on higher difficulties, and the Dutch market in Europe is more stable. Thanks
Question one is all about Max Payne 2. Which character in this game can't get enough of the phrase 'dearest of all my friends' and name at least two persons he uses it on. Second question; The game Elite Force 2 has a single mini-game that refers to an old console classic. How do you start this mini-game and on what older game is it based? [ 09-12-2004, 12:57 PM: Message edited by: Dreamer128 ] |
On Q2 the game is Super Mario, you collect ships instead of coins and you enter it through a Mario pipe on the Attrexian base level by using Structure scan at a wall and then blasting it through.
|
That's right. Awesome mini-game that was. You're on Bozos
|
1. What's the name(last name) of the first character you control in Call of Duty?
2. What is the cheat activator code in Unreal Tournament? |

Sorry for the wait btw. |
Thanks. Here are the two new questions.
1. In Civilization 1 which technology(ies) was(were) the prerequisite of religion? 2. In Wizardry 8: what is the potion called with which you can repair an android? Edited for a spelling mistake. [ 09-14-2004, 06:28 AM: Message edited by: dplax ] |
2. NAS-81
|
Correct! Your go Kakero.
|
Okay.
1. In Might and Magic 6, what scroll do you MUST have so that the world won't be doomed when you destroy Reactor Core at the Hive? 2. In Septerra Core : Legacy of the Creator, Why does Doskias want to raise and align all the Continents? |
The scroll in Might & Magic VI is "The Ritual Of The Void".

Nightowl2
|
Correct, you are next Nightowl2.
|
Okay, Kakero's question reminded me of one I gave earlier that wasn't answered, so I'll try again.
1. In Might & Magic I, what secret do you learn when you reach the Inner Sanctum at the end of the game? 2. "Ah, the monastery. Andariel's stronghold." is said by which character in Diablo 2?
Nightowl2
|

|
Sorry, no, it isn't the Necro. Nice try ;)

Nightowl2
|
Hmmm, OK, how about Deckard Cain then?
|
1. Something about Sheltem. can't remember clearly.
2. Sorceress. |
Kakero, you got it: The Sorceress makes that remark on reaching the monastery in Act I. Your answer to the M&M question was wrong, but that doesn't matter. Your turn now.
