I have just heard that the name of C&C3 Is Tiberian Twilight, has anyone else heard anything about this game? I would be very interested.

Dundee Slaytern 09-03-2004 09:40 AM

C&C was originally meant to be a trilogy, hence the names, C&C:TDawn, C&C:TSun, and C&C:TTwilight.

The names are old news, and since Westwood is... gone... ...

Hivetyrant 09-03-2004 09:44 AM

Well, C&C Generals had nothing to do with Westwood, and it was a great game, although I do think the other command and conquer games were better.

StigTC 09-03-2004 09:55 AM

I guess it'll be another molestation of strategy gaming just like all the other "westwood" games.

Considering the monumental contribution that Dune II and C&C: Tiberian Dawn were, I demand you take that back...

StigTC 09-03-2004 06:19 PM

I will take it back on Dune II, that was quite possibly the mother of all strategy gaming, but after that it was downhill.

Oblivion437 09-03-2004 07:41 PM

Command and Conquer brought the formula of Dune II to a hilt, and it was so damn fun...

I didn't know that Westwood went kaput also.

I heard rumuors that C&C Twilight is humans vs aliens , the aliens that introduced tiberium into earth.

Do not forget the Red Alert series. Westwood was the first company that got my devotion. While others were playing Blizzard RTSes, I was still playing with the C&C games.

Sigh... ...

Dundee Slaytern 09-04-2004 12:16 AM

Oh, and I find the comment that Westwood "molested" strategy gaming to be amusing, since Westwood are considered the pioneers of RTSes. ;)

In the same vein that ID (DOOM) are considered the pioneers of FPSes. Even Blizzard acknowledged that they were inspired by Westwood (the Dune series).

Well don't get me started on what I think about Blizzard strategy gaming.
I can mighty fast turn into the misc. game forum's most unpopular guy then.

A good thing you stopped there, StigTC

Kakero 09-04-2004 09:29 PM

I suppose that with Westwood is gone we cannot play online with other players then?

Memnoch 09-05-2004 11:41 AM

I loved Red Alert I and I liked C&C Tiberian Sun, but wasn't impressed with Red Alert II - it got too cheezy for me...I still think Red Alert I was the best of the lot, that game was incredible.

Hey guys. C&C3 intro now available for download. Just rightclick on the link and use 'save as'.

Few questions here:

1) Where the hell did it come from?

2) Is there more media to be found?

3) When was it released?

Also, anyone who wants to view it will need the DivX codec, which version I'm not sure, but if you don't have it the only version divx.com has on offer is 5.2 anyways.

Dreamer128 09-05-2004 07:38 PM

Hm.. not a clue. It was passed on to me on another board. Apparently, similair movies were available earlier, but were taken down by EA after awhile.
