My personal top 5:
1) Planescape Torment. 2) Wing Commander IV (I'm not saying 5, because I would like to see it continued in the old style) 3)Baldurs Gate II 4)Freelancer 5)Conflict: Freespace II [ 10-23-2003, 06:34 AM: Message edited by: Dreamer128 ] |
I myself like to see a sequel to Baldrs Gate ToB oh and Planetscape: Tourment also, I cant believe they didnt make one...
|
My personal favourites :
Wizardry 8 Jagged Alliance 2 (also with mix of SciFi and reality ) Civilization III X-Beyond the Frontiers |
Freelancer, Starlancer, Knihgts of the Old Republic and a new Mechwarrior game preferably from the Clan's point of view.

monkey island

legand of dragoon
disgaea:hour of darkness skygunner |
Wizardry 8
Diablo 2 Warcraft 3 (I really mean World of Warcraft) Colonization (I wasted so much time with that game) Starcraft ... |
Wizards & Warriors
Bard's Tale Might & Magic 7 I know, MM8 and MM9 came out, but they weren't effective sequels. I miss the challenge and joy of MM6 and MM7. And with 3DO being toast, a sequel is unlikely for a while. At least the other two are somewhere on their way :D |
Starcraft ( it's about time they make a sequel )
Diablo 2 ( what happen after the stone destroy? ) Might and Magic 7 ( and so they are in a spaceship , what happen next? ) Elder Scroll series.. ( what happen to the empire? ) Final Fantasy 7 ( what happen to the humans? ) Breath of Fire 5 ( so they have reach the surface, what happen next? ) |
Wizardry 8 (of course)
Kohan 2 (coming end of this year?, yay) |

Hands down, the old Microprose game from the early 1990's Darklands. The greatest rpg of it's day and since, but dropped due to the difficulty of patching games after the fact bck in the days of 2400 baud modems.
|
Baldur`s Gate II/ToB
Icewind Dale II Diablo II-more roleplaying please Starcraft II Planscape:Torment Duke Nukem would be also nice since the developers are switching the release date to "When it`s done!" for couple of years now. |

Actually, Disgaea was a sequel to another game in the same way the one I'm talking will come out soon is. The first one was called "La Pucelle" and I've heard there might finally be a localization for it. Here is to hoping. Anyway: Mega Man (NOT MEGAMAN X, JUST MEGA MAN) Final Fantasy Tactics (Actually, what I want is a prequel to the first game, going in depth about the 50-year war) Ogre Battle (Tactics is good and all, but the Ogre Battle games are just so much better in their own element) Betrayal At Krondor (More like Betrayal at K., less like Return to K.) |

I would love to see another Ultima Underworld. I'd absolutely love to be the avatar again, descending to the depths of some dastardly dungeon. LOL maybe Dungeon Destard! :D |
In no particular order:
Streetfighter: A 3D Streetfighter game that doesn't play like crap. Jet Force Gemini: The original was very cool. Goldeneye: Do I really need to have a reason? ;) |
heh, a lot of the games listed as wanting sequals actually already have them.
the problem is that they sucked. anyhow, id love to see another fallout game, but only if they dont screw it up |
I'd love a sequel to PS:T and BGII and Diablo II and such... but I guess it's pretty much up to your imagination because there isn't really much of a story after that... at least for BG II and PS:T... :(
Starcraft they are most probably... but obviously WoW is their primary concern as of the moment... ;) |
It's kinda funny because I haven't seen Half-Life 2 here anywhere, while that game is a favorite for LOADS of people. Even here, I imagine.

Uh guys, you are aware that some of these game series are ended story-wise, right? If they made a sequel to these golden oldies only the setting would be similar.

1.BG
2.Aurora Toolset 3.NWN HotU (it's supposed to be a lot better than SoU according to the makers) |
I would not like to see a sequel to Baldur's Gate 2... that story is done... but More games in the Forgotten Realms with the Infinity Engine... and not just hack and slash like Icewind Dale.
|
Master of Magic.
|
A real sequel to XCom not the crappy XCom:Enforcer.
I'd also like to see a sequel to The Longest Journey which had one of the best stories ever in a game. |

Also if you read Bungleau's post a bit closer, you'd see that he already implied that another game was being made. www.inXile-entertainment.com was the link... All Bard's Tale fans have Brian Fargo to thank for bringing back the classic name into the RPG market after purchasing the rights to it from EA who had sat on the rights complacently for far too long. Now, as to some more sequels I'd love to see, well, some agree with other posters, but here goes: 1) Another Ultima Underworld! (pleeeeeease, Mr Garriot, please??!!) 2) Planescape: Torment - The possibilities of what happens to the Nameless One are immense...Or just another adventure within the planes...anything! Just don't take out its beautiful brain! 3) Another Baldur's Gate (Back to the original for non-linearity, but more of the depth of the world/character interaction from II) 3) A greater, more self-reflexive attempt at a Pool of Radiance sequel (Not Ruins of Myth Drannor, that was an absolute insult to the original SSI game!) Actually, make that count for all the great SSI goldbox games! :D 4) Stonekeep - Shoot me down for liking this game if you may, but its style was rather addictive to me back then... 5) Wizards & Warriors Another I'd heard a rumour about but haven't read any updates about anywhere, is a possible Eye of the Beholder 4 in the works, anyone inform me further here? Cheers, Cerebrodragon |
X-COM - I think there is a new game called UFO Aftermath out right now!
Fallout- There is one in the works, but it hasn't been announced yet. Baldurs Gate- I think this one's dead for good. Killing Time- Simply the neatest 1st person shooter I've ever played! Seriously spooky with a great island setting, cool weapons, and nifty monstrous critters! It's set in the flapper/gangster era and has lots of authentic jazz music that plays interposed with the spooky music as you go through the house. I can still hear the undead hunters calling their two headed dogs in that evil voice. "Here boy! Heh, heh, heh!" |
