I find this game very boring the story line takes forever to get going and also you have to level up all the time i want to play not level up forever.
Anyway i need some help when you go to old miltia with jr. and stuff and then you go to that church and you see shions mothers hospital room im stuck there against that boss he is hard I cant even beat it with my a.g.w.s so im leveling up now... Its very boring anyway so what level should I be a right now my party is shion (lvl 21) Chaos (lvl 22) and Jr. (lvl 21) also what skills should i know.

Is it Tiamat? okay, DO NOT let Shion attack him. when Timat is near death only then you MUST use Shion to kill him. Tiamat will then heal himself, this time DO NOT let Jr attack him. only when Tiamat is near death then you MUST let Jr finish him off.

I suggest you level up some more ( the Escape to Elsa part is a very good place to level up and get lots of gold ). get some good skill, also let Jr use his Physco Rocket to steal a good stuff from Tiamat.

I've heard Xenosaga is more like a movie, with hardly any gameplay at all. Is this true? Is it a good game?

well, slightly yes. The games cut scene takes about nearly 20 ~ 30 minutes while the gameplay can take like 10 minutes ( depend on you ). I end up looking more forward towards the cut scene then the actual gameplay.

it's not a bad game ( ala FF ) but with all the cutscenes you'll be forgetting that this is a rpg not a movie.

i beat him what i was doing wrong was using my a.g.w.s oops anyway xenosaga is like a move but there still is a lot of gamplay because the areas are really big and the stuff you've got to do is also challangeing.

What I find annoying is that whenever you kill Gnosis you don't get cash.

Who would you rather have: A cheesy Dragon-Ball Z-ish character that is only beloved for his large weapon and bishounen looks, or a robot that is struggling to become entirely human that also happens to star in 20+ of my favorite games of all time, instead of 2 lousy ones?

hehe, not only he is beloved for his so called large weapon and bishounen looks. people also "love" him for the role he played in Aerith death. the music at that part make it more dramatic. ;)

In KH, Sephiroth can travel dimension between dimension. he is undeafeatable. not even Sora can kill him. :D

Oh, geez, don't even get me started on Aerith. I mean, I'm the kind of guy that normally goes for the innocent chicks (FLONNE!!!), but even I didn't care when she died. The only reason it mattered was that my best spell-caster died.

And even I'll admit, Sephiroth wasn't totally lame in KH. Oh, wait. Yes he was. First off, the only reason he ws put in the game (and it was only for the American release) was that Square fanboys threw such a hissy fit of not having their favorite bishounen in a game that melded Square and Disney. Second, it's not even fun to attempt to fight him. Third, it goes back to the DBZ cheese thing. Super-immortal beings are so over-done and boring. You know how it's going to end up, everytime. The hero finally attains enough power to topple the mega-badguy! [img]tongue.gif[/img] Gimme a break, please.

not really, I believe it's because of a certain someone complain that all he fought with was disney characters and not a single one of them is FF characters. that's why they put one there and they choose Sephiroth. ;)

You fight tons of FF characters.

Tons? heh! all you fight with is Cloud,Squall and umm..what's that girl name? oh yeah in the first island you can "play" with Titus and Wakka.

Spehiroth wasn't originally in the game but they added it because of the reason I stated above.

edit : oh wait, you also got to fight with Black Mages. though look like Vivi to me.

Every single one of them that is in the game except for Aerith, I think, you battle at some point, and they serve a much larger role helping out Sora (story-wise) than any Disney character.

Goofy and Donald don't count. Partly because they don't even help out.

Megaman this Sepiropth that cmon the coolest character is obviously...........Cloud!! Not this little blue robotic boy with a huge gun and this weird dude with super long hair with a giant butter knife (Katana) who keeps on speaking about "Promise Land" Who is completely INSANE(I cannot believe that I once admired Sepriropth [img]graemlins/1puke.gif[/img] )

Thats just my opinion though and I know Kakero and Beoulve think diffrently.

ok first of all seph rules hes the collest villan ever and ff7 kicks @$$ you probably didnt like it because you are too stupd to understand the concept of a game with a story and last most rpgs now a days are in at least one way based off of ff7

And furthermore, rpg's are based off of games waaaaay back before the concept of FFVII was not even an impulse in the mind of a japanese game-developer. RPG's were already alive & kicking on the amiga and commodore ...

At least give REASONS in an arguement. I really don't mind getting flamed (I understand my abrasive nature tends to bring that out in people. I know, really bad habit on my part. I try to change, though), but give me firm "reasons", okay? I really didn't mean to tee anyone off.

And as for me not "understanding the story", far from it. I found the story to be overly, overly clichéd, for one, as well as a slight rip off of the previous FF game, which I loved. (Strong comparions can be drawn towards Shinra and the Empire, and Terra and Cloud, just for two quick examples.) The story is on about a 3rd grade reading level. All the characters sound alike. Blah blah, I've already explained this a million times on these boards alone, so I don't think I should carry on.

I highly, highly recommend you play something with a REAL interesting story (and a sense of humor, to boot), Disgaea. Or maybe Valkyrie Profile. Perhaps even the predecessor to FF7, FF6. Or another game bearing the FF moniker, FF-Tactics (which sadly sufferes from translation errors, but has an interesting story and TERRIFIC gameplay). These are just console games, as well. You want a super-mega deep story, I HIGHLY suggest you give Planescape: Torment a run. Totally cerebral. Loved the game to death.
