I've recently discovered this RPG game on the internet: EverWars. You choose your race, and away you go. You have to battle other players to level up, etc. I haven't got that far but I am enjoying myself. Anyone else played this?

You dont get gold because it would be way unbalanced, or so says the creator.

kinda make sense. another choice would be to get gold on all win accounts, but then i think the equipent and training would cost more, so its all the same to me

I hit PCGiant the other day, then dropped one of Minsc's more annoying quotes in his message box. Haven't spotted any of you other folks, yet, though.

kinda hard to find some specific person amongst the thousands of gamers, isnt it? to ease this, ive developed a method to make it easier to attack a certain person. when attacking someone, i noticed that this kind of an address appears in the broswer http://everwars.com/games/ew_battle....process=Attack As you can tell by looking, i attacked allanon2 right there, so if you change the name "allanon2" to a specific name, you can attack that person without having to find him from the ranking list. im not sure if the find player option should do this, but for me it does the exact same as the attack player option. hope this helps

How does Regeneration work? I have 3 points in it, but I never Regenerate during battles...

i got 5 in it for being undead. But you regenerate anyway at higher levels. I would go with defense and power, a little attack too.

Bah. Power rocks the house [img]smile.gif[/img] Iron Dagger can hit for 6 damage with 4 points in it. Highest damage total? 10, on a Critial Hit.

Cool I got like 14 damage on a regular hit! lol Im level 6 now. Bring it on =p

:( I don't have the money to buy awesome weapons. I'm still wielding the old Iron Daggers I got from level 1. I'm going to leap up to an Iron Wazishi- I think that's the one, the thing that does 4 dpr. Then, I'll buy another to dual-wield 'em, and then spend more points in Power. After a while, then I'll start upgrading my Attack and AC.

Those are my stats and im getting pretty good.

Pretty much the only difference are the Swords, and the Chain Tunic. You also have 7 more skill points than I. But then again, you have 7 Squires, and you're a level ahead of me.

the squires do help, dont they? i have six now, and my stats/inventory is like so:

Training up a buttload of Power now. Even Squires, once you gain the higher leves, don't have the same impact now that I am attacking level 7 people. And I still don't have a single Squire :(

Muhahahah... Got 10 Power now, putting 2 more points into both Attack and Power before I save up for some Short Swords. I'm also level 7.

I'm up to Level 4 (about 7 battles away from Level 5 - get ready for more gold, Rapida [img]smile.gif[/img] ) & have a Steel Wakizashi & Steel Dagger, with 5-4-10-10-0 stats (should be able to afford 5 Power right when I hit Level 5).

I've gathered that Regen doesn't kick in til you hit Level 5 no matter how many points you have in it (& it will kick in even if you have 0 points, you just might Regen quicker with more points).

Some strategies I've found so far, in case anybody new jumps in (this is mostly for those w/o Squires since having Squires can skyrocket your power)...

When you're Level 0, stick with other Level 0's. When you get 3 Gold, buy a Bone Dagger. When you get 3 more Gold, buy a 2nd for your off-hand. Weapons make all the difference.

From Levels 1-3, attack people 1 Level higher with horrible Win-Loss records (I mean 500-1000+ Losses). Don't attack anyone Level 5+ until you're Level 5 yourself - their Regen will kill you. Upgrade your weapons often, but try to wait as long as possible to avoid losing too much when you sell stuff back.

If you get a bad win loose ratio you WILL be picked on, and in the beginning you will be attacked and most likely loose. Dont get discouraged.

Im level 11 soon to be 12 now. What are you guys up to? I got wid of my leather armor and now wearing either plate or chain armor. I got a mithril plate helm. Spiked and bone cudgel (i think).

bummer, your a high level arent you? im struggling to get to level 8, and saving for armor upgrades(thinking of getting a full chain armor). i also might upgrade my weapons and train my power to 10 along with defense and offense(ill probaply be about your level by that time! depends really on how my 7 squires level up). but im picking on level 8 characters now, so i guess im not doing too awfully...

Actually, I've heard that most of the people with a *lot* of squires tend to find it boring after a couple of days. Because those squires allow them to max out stats wwwaaayyy too quickly for enjoyment. No, I'm not picking on you, Red Rapida [img]smile.gif[/img]

Now that they've so generously implemented a 5 minute delay in between attacks, I'll never have time to play. It'd take an hour and 20 minutes to use 16 battle credits, and that might be well and good for someone who works on a computer and can hop on every few minutes, but not for us construction types.

I hope whomever came up with that bright idea catches some exotic venereal disease which makes their genitals turn green and fall off.

i dont like it either, though at least itll take longer than 5 minutes to use up all the battle credits...

I seriously doubt ill play till they remove that time limit thingie. I would rather they limit the battle credit total.

yeah, well, the way i play it now is: whenever im waiting for the time to run out, i visit this forum, post a few posts and then battle. if im waiting for battle credits, well, then i just play a game or go some place else for a while(ive got a life too). though i must say, its taken a leap for the worse :( .

I'm up to Level 10 (you're welcome, Rapida [img]smile.gif[/img] ) w/ Steel Rapier & Steel Shortsword (I've settled on upgrading weapons in leaps of 3 DPR) & picking on big-time losers 4-5 Levels above me. I'm on a 12 battle winning streak! [img]smile.gif[/img] Still at 5-5-10-10-0 & no armor, though (I've read enough of their forums to know that armor is a waste of Gold & Skills should wait til you have the best weapons).

The Battle Timer (down to 4 minutes rather than 5 now, FWIW) is annoying, but I can work around it I guess. I may lose some BC's here & there because of it, but now I try to spread my battles around a bit, in between reading e-mail or posting, whereas before I used to use them all up in a span of about 10 minutes.

armor is a waste of gold? bummer, nearly gotten the full chain armor now, and used ALOT of gold and time on getting it! i guess ill leave it at the full chain armor(only missing the sleeves and cloak now)...

Okay, I'm back. Level 12! Anyways... It's actually kinda hard to get enough money for armor. So, I'm just getting the Greaves and such. Whether I get 13 AC by 3 + 4 + 3 + 3, or from one AC 13 item, it's all the same. Then, upgrade my stats, then take over Rapida [img]smile.gif[/img]

Hmmn you guys seem to be doing a hell of a lot better than me, i am but a lowly level 4 [img]tongue.gif[/img] ...
