Playing through Torment again, am currently in Clerk's Ward but cleaning out my quests. I did the entire demon-in-the-box quest, from Mar to Ku'atraa to Brasken to Shilandra to the cathedral, but I can't remember when I can find Mar AFTER all that. The uncompleted quest in my journal bugs me - anyone know where to find him? I seem to recall he's not in the place where you first encounter him.

This prob almost cost me my sanity.

I seem to recall hes in NW hive, but the important point is hes moved from where he was originaly, and is now in a small open building to the NW of that point. He also no longer shouts out about needing help. Youll spot him eventualy.

Ah yes I remember this one resulting in me tearing at my hair. I checked my old walkthrough files, he's at x 1015 y 700, again with dead lim-lims around him. Hope this helps. :D

alas I did the same thing, if you leave the hive before finishing this quest even if you get rid of the demon before talking to Mar he freaks out and either runs from you or attacks you, i don't recall which.

Damn, you're right! I managed to find him and talk to him, but in the end he fleed. And now the quest is still located under the 'assigned' header... :(

Personally I recommend not doing this quest and leaving the Hive with the box. The reward will be a small challenge and some NICE stuff later on in the game....

WTF? If your talking about the events around the Gate to Carcri you get that if you free the demon as well. Nice ring, thats all ill say.

According to everything I've heard you do NOT get those events if you complete the quest.

Ar-cunin is correct, you do get this fight if you complete the quest. I thought you didnt get it if you left the box or left the hive. Anyway its kind hard to forget this fight, for my money its twice the challenge of the final battle.

Lol, seems as though we've both been mistaken. Hm, I'll complete the quest next time, then. And yes, it was truly a hard fight. I only beat it because I had one of those magical mirrors from the Modron Maze that made a copy of a foe that would fight it :D

I thought that mirror cast Mirror Image? Or is that a different Modron Maze mirror? ANyway i beat it using my solo fighter. With 473 HP at the time and a CON of 25 I had to run away and regen once.

Never found the Mirror that made Mirror Images. The one that I'm thinking about is called something like: The Fanged Mirror of Yeh'cir Eya.

What fight do you lot mean? I have only played this game twice and 2nd time I just opened Mar's box and fought a fat Lemure that waddled out of it.

If you don't open it then later on in the game you'll meet a demon that's QUITE a bit stronger. And gives a MUCH better reward.
