Well Bethesda pulled a fast one on us eh? Several weeks ago there were a bunch of leaked screenshots that were horribly pixelated (looked nothing like Oblivion graphics). So they pull a fast one on us and use those screenshots, only up to par with the normal screenshots.

And even better, they replaced the man in ebony armor and a spear with daedric armor and a better character page shot. And man, the town that the Argonian is in looks fantastic!

And we finally see a portal to Oblivion in the middle of a forest???

I am terrified of the system specs. Any word yet?

None. However this is a great indicator of what it will probably be.

OK, not exactly, but damn! :D

I suspected as much. Looks like my PCX system is the only one that can run it. The screens are amazing btw.

That's not a spear, that's a two-hander. Spears are out unless they are part of the blade skill. (note that all skills are known at this time)

Mine I will probably need to update, or at least I want to. ATI Radeon 9500 PRO/9700 but I have the 9700 set to the default. Other than that this comp is set for Oblivion. It may run slightly under par, but I can adjust

Stratos 10-09-2005 12:36 PM

Hopefully, I'll run the game just fine with my ATI Mobility Radeon X700 with 128 VRAM.

What's this? Are you saying Bethesda has pulled a shifty? Are the screenies legit or have they been fiddled with? Or are they just covering the leak by 'releasing' them?

But I think they decided to be slightly humorous and satirical by just reposting the leaked Screenshots, almost a "in your face". But the leaked ones were in much crappier condition. I don't think Bethesda made them look better, rather the website hosters royally screwed up the leaks.

Sever 10-13-2005 12:39 AM

*wipes brow* That's ok then. Was getting worried for a minute there. The screenies look like ones taken from the recently leaked demo clips though?

Well they were surfacing around before the leaked demo video was released. But it is entirely possible that they are taking from the demo.

Well, I may need to upgrade my RAM, even though I just bought my pooter.....*sigh* is it possible to upgrade RAM on a laptop?

Sever 10-14-2005 12:25 AM

Don't see why not. Though it'd probably cost more than desktop RAM.

Bithron 10-24-2005 11:22 AM

OOh.. God! I'm gonna "poop" myself :(

Stratos 10-24-2005 03:36 PM

RAM is one of the few things you can upgrade on a laptop.

I've been saving since the day Oblivion was announced.

I'm aiming to buy a top notch SLI system, 64bit processor, and a couple gigs of ram. If you had tried to convince me a year ago that i was going to spend a few grand on a PC, I woulda laughed at you (graphics never were that big a deal to me). Oblivion, is the first game I want to play with the max graphic settings.

Well, I bit the bullet and spent £570 on a new machine with an Athlon 64-bit 3200+ processor. I'll need to buy another graphics card (it shipped with a Radeon Xpress 200 Series) and upgrade the 512MB RAM, but I'm satisfied that by release I'll have a good enough setup to play Oblivion.

I am now completely, miserably broke. Your move, Bethesda. :D
