I have loot...expensive loot!
Where is there a Merchant who has alot of gold and can buy it from me? |
Creeper. Everyone else will tell you the same thing. Creeper. He lives in Caldera in Ghorak Manor, you can get to Caldera through the Mage Guild Guide (Teleporter). He has $5000, he'll buy just about anything at full price bcause he has no disposition. If you have anything more than $5000, sell it to him, then take something worth approximately the amount you need to shave off, then sell it to him, wait 12 hours and sel back the stuff you took. If you hve some really costly items, this may take a while (my record is 2 1/2 game months). There is also a Talking Muscrab Merchant even richer but hes harder to reach than Creeper. you might want to sell some cheap stuff first so you can have things to trade for the expensive stuff.

As armageddon said, go to creeper. A good thing to start selling is skooma, 500 gold a bottle and you get them easily. If you have Tribunal installed, sell him the Dark Brotherhood armor. As you progress you get more costly items and it all works out.
IMO, don't waste time on the mudcrab. Takes to long and it isn't worth the hassle (being attacked when sleeping, cliffraces, swimming) |
try doing morag tong missions if you can, even if you dont fit the requirements, they often send you to Daedric ruins where you can get some really nice weapons. also, try taunting ordinators until they attack you, then steal their Indoril armour. Its worth a decent amount and most of it is within Creeper's price range
|
i already have a bunch of expensive things, so that is not the problem. I also wonder if there are any super nice items to buy anywhere? Now I have good equipment to swap for:P
|
if have head for ghostgate one of the merchants sells some glass and ebony armor.
additionally, if you're not against using mods than download a mod that adds a merchant that has a lot of money. my favorite mod for that purpose was the oghrim trader mod. it sticks a big oghrim in caldera who has like 5 million bucks and he'll buy anything! |
since i'm currently playing the xbox version, i like mudcrab best. i keep a mark spell there and really no problem at all with critters. just set to sneak before sleeping, then WACK them good from behind if they appear. it's alot more fun to keep mudcrab there instead of moving him to my pad. creeper is just too creepy for me. he's an U G L Y giant rat. ugh. :D
|
I create my own Super Rich Creeper mod. He has 1000000 gold ans can buy anything. I prefer Creeper because there's a mage guild nearby where they offer the teleport service.

as for the really nice stuff, Ra-Zhirr (i think) in Balmora can sell you some Demon Katanas and Tantos, if you have the Tribunal expansion, you can go to the Craftsmen's hall to get "Custom made" glass, ebony, and adamantium armour(there is also a museum of artifacts that will buy your rare artifacts for half their value but no more than 30000 gold, i just sell them my stuff that their willing to buy then steal it back and sell it to creeper again for full price). its not much diferent from normal armour thou, you can also try to taunt an ordinator or a high ordinator to get their armour. There is also a Curass of the Savior's Hide in Tel Fyr near the man in the tower, but you need to levitate to get there. It's light arour but has an awesome enchantment, great armour rating, and a huge value so be careful not to get caught (i used my self-enchanted Chameleon ring that allowed me to be in Chameleon for 24 second to steal it).

there is a book in the back that lists all the "rare" items they want to buy, check with that.
|
that savior's hide is the best in the game IMO. looks good too. saved my hide many times. pun intended.
|
yeah, the hide kept me alive from those goblin chief's attacks in the Mournhold sewers. the Marara's ring came in pretty handy too. i wish there were other savior's hide armours, that would be awesome to have that set!.
|
The armour seller at Sudan have some nice armour to sell. glass and ebony IIRC.
Dragonebone Armour is the best. it's suit my Nord. |
little spoiler maybe so don't look unless you want the best ring in the game (and i thought Marara was the best) . . . .
. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . after you finish the main Tribunal quest with King Helseth, find a way to kill him for his ring if you dare. |
is it possible to instead pickpocket him to get the ring?
|
he has it equipped. the only way is to beat him. i've tried to pickpocket him but alas. he's a bad person anyway.
|
The " Doomsday Message " will appear if you kill him. And all the other Royal Guards will attack you.

And I know about the list. I am saying that they won't take half those artifacts that I possess those cheap bastards. |
what happens when you try to sell your items?
|
Try donating the artifacts to them.

Donating doesn't work.??? The hyperlinks to the artifact whenever you possess artifact just aren't there. I don't know why.
|
Regarding the Royal Guards attacking if you attack the King. Well there's only 5 of them guards around him. I looked at the script and I think only those five in that room would attack. I'm going to try to taunt each into attacking me individually then when they're gone I'm going after that ring. Ha! Keep you guys/gals posted when I get it done. Might be a while since I got to make my character stronger first.
|
well, thats a stumper, maybe its just some glitch,in anycase, they dont give you tooo much cash. its better to sell to creeper if at all
