Ok, im trying to become Hortator of the Redoran House. Im hortator of Hlaalu and Telvanni, I have been named Nerevarine by the Ashlander tribes, and i have the vote of every Redoran councilor except for Baylyn (is that how you spell it?) Venim. It says i need to challenge him to a duel but i dont see a duel option there, and nothing happens when i talk about being the Redoran Hortator, so how do i get him to duel me? or is this some kind of glitch? if so, then is there a comand i can use to override it?

that sounds wierd. can you go to an earlier save maybe if you're willing. or try to taunt him and see if that works. worth a shot. save first.

or go back to sarethi and see what he might have to say. then go back to venim.

did both of those, nothing. what is supposed to happen?

well i was hoping those would add the topic 'duel' for venim. question please. when oyu taunted and defeated venim, did you go back to sarethi and see what he has to say? just wondering.

i saved before i tried, i killed him, and it gave me the message that "with this character's death, the weave of fate....." so on. i loaded back to before.

Don't you just go meet him in the arena?

You need to gain everyone else's support and then go talk to him. He'll challenge you to a duel in the Arena in Vivec city.

The "duel" option is available only if you have got all other votes of Redoran bosses. There are 6 bosses (including Venim). Have you collected the remaining 5? If not then collect the 5 votes and then go to Venim.

Then maybe just go to the arena and see if he is there. I know you need to click on the hyperlink, but just try it anyway.

Then talk to him about every subject. He will challenge you. then go to arena.

Oh yeah, i just want to make sure im not going farther than the game wnts me to, was i supposed to go to Red Mountain to get Kagrenac's tools when Nibani Maesa told me to get them from Vivec? or am i only supposed to get them when i finish the 6th trial and get them just before i beat Dagoth Ur

i don't think that matters. just have them in your inventory when the time comes.

If you follow the storyline. Vivec will tell you that you'll need it. So I suppose you gonna look for it after the meeting with vivec.

i went to Vemynal, but no where in the fortress can i find that there Hammer. am i missing something?

there's a dagoth venym in the lower section of the ruin that you must kill. i think he has sunder.
