Aye, he is kind of cute... but what race is "he" supposed to be?

Oh, one more thing; where did you download the firearm mod?

SecretMaster 09-18-2004 03:04 AM

Sexy...

You have some serious mods there Kakero. Can't we all just play the game with our own mods. I mean really, looking at this makes me sick.

Kakero 09-18-2004 03:22 AM

The race is a moogle. You know the one in Final Fantasy series. You can find it here.
http://machall.com/mog/

The gun can be found in http://www.euro-morrowind.com/index....plugin&code=04
just type " snakebitten " in the author and download the "DWP armor and Ninja gear". Secondly type " gun " in the title to download the " Gun Enhancement - Lucypher " for the sound.

SecretMaster 09-18-2004 03:25 AM

Disgraceful... Just keep on walking.

Kakero 09-18-2004 03:31 AM

What's the matter SecretMaster? Anything wrong?

No. I have no clue what I meant and this isn't sarcastic.

I'm just overtired but still, I still think people go to far with mods and morrowind. There reaches a line where you create a totally new game from an old one. Kills the style.

Kakero 09-18-2004 03:43 AM

Well, for people who have played Morrowind countless times. Mods add new life to the game and prolonging your interest in the game. Without the mods, one might just uninstall the game and throw the cd away after finished playing it.

SecretMaster 09-18-2004 02:46 PM

Oh, I agree. But when you get to the point of firearms in Morrowind, it kills the mood IMO.

Xen 09-18-2004 03:41 PM

It looks cool.

Paladin2000 09-18-2004 04:39 PM

Thanks for the link Kakero.

Seriously, I don't think there is anything wrong with a gun mod for morrowind. Take Arcanum for example, guns and magic does co-exist in the same world.

And not to mention that since it is a stand alone game, we are free to play or mod the game anyway we like. Frankly I am rather bored of this game already, a few good mods like indestructable weapons/armors, some guns and a two handed weapon blocking mod (blocking with 2-handed weapon) would greatly extend the gameplay.

SecretMaster 09-18-2004 06:07 PM

Yes, modern weaponry and convential D&D can exist and be a good game, but when the mindset of ES games are strictly medieval fantasy it seems out of place.

Kakero 09-18-2004 07:24 PM

I don't mind some kind of modern items added to a midieval era. In fact, in the game there are already dwemer robots, machinery, giant space telescope and even a weather machine that can control weather. So I suppose introducing modern things into Morrowind by various mods don't make the game out of place.

SecretMaster 09-18-2004 09:36 PM

True, very true. But the dwemer/dwarves are gone. That is the mystery behind all this technology. They are a lost civilization and no one understands anything. No one really understands it, so it has it's place.

Kakero 09-18-2004 10:37 PM

Aye, I've read the Tamriel History. It didn't mention much about the dwemer race. However, it's been noted that there are Kings in Tamriel who have used dwemer technology to win battles. Also in Morrowind it has been said that people have use dwemer artifact to becomes gods. Which might suggest that dwemer technology isn't really shrouded in mystery.

SecretMaster 09-19-2004 03:00 AM

Yes, it isn't shrouded in mystery but rather still foreign. If the concepts and inner workings were wildly known, Tamriel would be a much different place.

Kakero 09-19-2004 06:30 PM

The current Emperor prohibits anyone from studying or having in pocession any dwemer items without consent. Judging from the fact in Morrowind alone that the only excavation of dwemer ruins that is legal and that particular excavation alone had met problems ( people died, people getting lost ).I doubt that the inner working and the concepts of the dwemer items would known any sooner.

johnny 09-22-2004 04:54 AM

The emperor can't prohibit jack, i'll slice his head off.

armageddon272 09-22-2004 06:47 PM

what was this i hear about a weather machine and a telescope? maybe im conused, or maybe im just not up to that point. but what the hell?

Kakero 09-22-2004 06:53 PM

The Dwemer has built those things. Quite "out of the space" for a game that is suppose to be a medieval theme. You can find the telescope in Morrowind but you need the Tribunal expansion to see the weather machine.

armageddon272 09-22-2004 07:00 PM

heh, alright

Kakero and Secretmaster,

Nice discussion here. But Kakero I wondered what the damage and rate on the rifle was? If it wasn't really overbearing, it might fit well into someone's new idea for a world in terms of style. A nice model like many of the mods for Morrowind. But I just stopped over as a break from BG2. I will not get sucked back into MW no matter what happens. I won't, I won't...my last character's journal was about 595 days...no more...

The shotgun damage is 60-60. The rifle damage is 70-70. It is very inaccurate in range attack ( even with 100 in marksmanship ) but prove devastating in close quarters. Just like a musket does.

What is the cooldown of this attack? And I hope that there are no external forces on damage such as str, because it is a mechanical weapon.

Kakero 09-24-2004 10:32 PM

What do you mean by cooldown? The weapon's mechanic works like the crossbows in the game ( it is afterall redesign from crossbow ). Thus the damage calculation should work like crossbow as well.

SecretMaster 09-25-2004 12:46 AM

I meant cooldown as in the firing time. Like you shoot, then how long it takes to shoot again. Because if you anything about colonial weapons such as muskets, they take some time to reload and fire.

But if it is redesigned after crossbows, that answered my question.
