i was wondering if anyone would help me find daedric boots, gauntlets, and a curiass.Im tired of walking around like a patchwork noob(lol RS refrence)with my half daedric half glass combo,I look like a figgin Christmas tree i hate it too :(

johnny 05-05-2004 06:28 PM

I remember that guy in Tel Fyr had a full Daedric armour equipment, but if i'm not mistaken he's also crucial for the mainquest.

Kakero 05-05-2004 09:17 PM

Simple, cast disintegrate armor on him, charm him, disintegrate armor, charm , charm , charm. you'll get the drift. ;)

the armor will be yours.

steveum 05-05-2004 09:25 PM

lol that accually works...thats awsome but one prob with my character its a warrior/thief and i have a total magika of like 39 or somthihng maybe its a little higher but not much for a Lv.37 nord with realativly low intelegence (lol he sooooo dumb) :( shoulda made him smart or and orc.. so can i get that armour any other way in a temple or as a random thing ive been busting up daedric shrines this last week.Makes me feel like a rockstar on tour

Kakero 05-05-2004 09:46 PM

Get 2 rings, get some grand soul gems, go trap 2 golden saint soul and then enchant the 2 rings with the 2 spell effect. then you can cast the spells without depleting your mana.

mad=dog 05-05-2004 11:45 PM

It's always fun to watch the mightiest mage in Vvardenfell run around in a pair of 5gp pants
http://www.dsr.kvl.dk/~maddog/fyr.jpg
There's also a great deal of fun in disintegrating a certain orcs special sword and hand him his *** using it.

steveum 05-05-2004 11:54 PM

Ok but sorry to contradict yet again but wut if i run out of charge on those thins + Im cheap and probly dont wanna waste my grand, but on the other had its armour.....could i paralyze him?? then steal his armour

and how many points of disinegrate armour would it take

OOOp an off topic question how many point should i set constant effect water walk for my "Jesus Shoes" and levitate for my "yet to have a name somthing" i wanna go fast

Oruboris 05-06-2004 02:45 AM

ooohhh, You SOOO don't wanna get in a duel with this fella...

You can only steal an item that is in the targets inventory, but not worn. That's the catch and that's why you need to go through this ordeal. See, when the armor is destroyed it is no longer possible to wear it so it "disappears" from the avatar and is put in the inventory where it _is_ possible to pick it from.
I have not played ESIII/MW for more than a year, so I am a bit rusty. You should perhaps train Destruction and use potions to temporarily boost intelligence and restore spellpoints. Pick up a handful of the best potions you can get (I think they can be stolen/taken at the mages guild) and drink them. Potion effects are cummulative so the more potions the better effect. That should give you a wee bit more SP to cast the spells.
As a rule of thumb you need one point of Destroy Armor pr. durability of the armor in question. For deadric that is 800 for boots, pauldrons and greaves. I don't recall the other parts, but open the editor and have a look-see.

Radek 05-06-2004 03:44 AM

Playing tricks on the boss of Tel Fyr is needed only if you want daedric pauldrons. He is the only source of them in the whole game. Otherwise:

1. Cuirass:
a) Dragonbane Cuirass. Mudan Grotto SW of Ebonheart. Superdaedric (AC higher than daedric cuirass) plus permanent immunity to fire. You will need to swim underwater for some time and open a level 100 trapped lock.
Lord's Mail. In fact a quest item of Imperial Legion but you need not have the quest or be member of the guild. A bit worse cuirass than Dragonbane Cuirass. Search a backdoor to Ebonheart Sewers. The backdoor is below the water level but close to it so that you can see it from the shore.

2. Helm.
Oreyn Bearclaw's Helm. Superdaedric plus nice constant enchantments. It's a daedric quest reward item. Go to Assurdirapal and speak with Malacath.

3. Gauntlets.
a) Fists of Randagulf. Superdaedric plus constant boost of STR and AGI. They are in Ilunibi. You will enter this dungeon during the main quest and you get corprus there. At any rate, you can enter Ilunibi whenever you want but I am not sure whether you cannot get corprus prematurely. You will see.
b) Wraithguard.

4. Shield.
Eleidon's Ward. It is in Ibar Dad SW from Urshilaku Camp.

5. Daedric Boots.
Galom Daeus.

6. Daedric Greaves.
Druscashti near Khuul.

7. Daedric Puldrons.
Only Tel Fyr. See the hins above.

Kakero 05-06-2004 05:51 AM

Some of those things Radek mentioned are artifacts. These below are unenchanted one.

Daedric Left Gauntlet:
Kogoruhn, Bleeding Heart.
Tel Vos, Aryon's Chambers (turedus talanian).

Daedric Right Gauntlet:
Kogoruhn, Bleeding Heart.

Daedric Shield
Dren Plantation, or just kill some golden saint

Daedric Greaves
Also in Dren Plantation

Daedric Boot
Galom Daeus - Berne Vampire headquaters

Daeric Cuirass
Somewhere in Mournhold, Plaza Brindisi Dorom.

Daedric Right Pauldron
In the tower of Castle Karstaag(Solsthiem)

Daedric Left Pauldron
Same place in Plaza Brindisi Dorom, Mournhold

Daedric Helms
Ghostgate

did I miss anything?

johnny 05-06-2004 06:40 AM

Yeah, there's also a kickass Daedric helmet in a cave somewhere. I forgot the exact location, but it's an ancient burial cave. After you fought your way through hordes of skeletons and Liches, you can find it on the dead body of someone who's buried in some kind of Viking ship, in the lower level of the cave. If i'm not mistaken it's somewhere south of Molag Mar.

mad=dog 05-06-2004 09:08 AM

Not to forget Ebon Mail - the best cuirass in the game. Same as Dragonbone AND permanent 50 point Shield to add yet another 50 to AC. Most of my mages used exclusive Medium Armor even before adamandium, high ordinator and all that bongo. Just a combo of ordinator and ebon mail (which is fairly easy to get for a mage if you know the game) with BoBS on for travels. (Why not use Light? Well, it ain't that much lighter to start with and it doesn't train Endurance. I play my mages "pure". No real melee. Hence the importance of training Endurance with armor. Besides the best set of regular game Light has an AC of 208 and the best Medium has 250).

Radek 05-06-2004 10:03 AM

Ebony Mail has some disadvantages:
1. You must be a member of the Temple. It's a temple quest item, which is available only if you have the corresponding quest.
2. You get it late in the game. The Ebony Mail quest is the last Temple quest.
3. In the plain Morrowind, Ebony Mail is the only piece of Medium Armor, which is worth of mentioning. In the other words, you will have to train Medium Armor only because you will want to make use of the cuirass. Well, there are plugins, which offer valuable medium armor and make Medium Armor a skill worth of noticing.

mad=dog 05-06-2004 12:56 PM

Indoril is not as bad as people think. It's durable and almost as good as glass. Furthermore it has a very important quality - it is dead easy to get and very abundant.
This was minted specifically for mages. Mages have no problems in reaching the skill levels needed to obtain the high TT ranks. Conjuration always explode when you start to summon stuff. A determined mage could easily get some Indoril and proceed to complete the Tribunal quests as the first thing on the agenda. Furthermore the TT quests will bring you to locations where you have to do minor main quest things as well, so you can kill two birds with one stone.
One other thing. Looks. My latest active character were a Nord sorceress and quite frankly I found this outfit
http://www.dsr.kvl.dk/~maddog/berglot.jpg
far more "in character" than butt-ugly deadric stuff. (Note that Dreugh is used in this picture as it was before Ebon Mail - still quite good and enough to stand the pain while casting Absorb Health on touch).
Regardless this has been debated endlessly on the official forum. At least it was when I was still active. Opinions differ, but I still maintain the following rule of thumb:
Unarmored: Only worth anything if you can enchant with enhance unarmored. It becomes very effective when the skill hits 200. Never demand repairs either.
Light: Rogue/thiefs
Medium: Pure mages
Heavy: Warriors

PS: I have never owned or played any expansions. This information is only based on my experimentation in regular MW.
PPS: If someone remembers the Dwemer Potion Machine and wonders if I am the same maddog as the one who coded that, then yes - I am that maddog.

Thanx a bunch Im off on my jorney to get all the lovely armory goodness!!! thanx again!

steveum 05-06-2004 05:00 PM

OH! Im sry for posting again but mad=dog has convinced me of working on my medium armour so.. Where exactly would i get a set of addy,or high ordinator armour?

do i have to put and order in with taht custom armour guy? If so where can i get a bunch of raw addy?

mad=dog 05-07-2004 12:56 AM

As I pointed out I have never been near High Ordinator ware(tm) because I have never been to Mournhold. Sadly. You can get regular Indoril stuff off any Ordinator in the muncipality of Vivec. Just be careful. They are easy kills if you hit them hard and determined, but they can be a pain if they close in on you and/or start to get spells off. None the less it's the best risk free abundant armor you will find.
If you start the TT quests pronto and are able and willing to train/boost the necessary skill(s) you may wind up with some light and VERY good armor indeed. Much better than the glass junk.
Note that I have spend a _lot_ of time experimenting with armor so I know just where to go and when to go there. I really wish to spoil you as little as possible.

PS: I find that people immidiately disregard Medium Armor without trying it. That is an unhealthy pratice. Try to start out a new character and notice how easily you get good armor. Thats the benefit of MA and that is the way to go for a character that need to survive melee just enough to get spells off.

PPS: This old page of mine compares core MW armor sets. They are broadly optimized for both AC and enchantment.
http://www.dsr.kvl.dk/~maddog/armor/
notice the low weight difference between Light and Medium compared to the high difference between Medium and Heavy. This assumes the use of Fists of Randagulf. Some argue that the wraithguards are better even with the HP loss.
