I've played this game over and over before, and yet i've never solved the Puzzle Canal dilemma at all. My main problem is not an actuall bug prob, but a problem with the people of Vivec. All of them say the puzzle canal is a deep and dark maze where daedra lay, protecting ancient artifacts. Bull #&%)(*% sh*t. I found a few water passages, and then a vivec shrine. Am I missing something or no.

And for as long as I've played this game, where the hell do i find daedric armor. I've only found a helm, and gauntlets. Nothing else.

Did you try staying underwater until you drown ? ;)

Keep on doing quest for various guilds, they will sent you to various dungeons. When there, search every nook and cranny. You'll never know what you'll find.

Yeah, there is only one daedra in the Puzzle canal that I remember, and it wasn't half as deep and dark as some of the dungeons infested by the 7th house clowns.

Interestingly, its much easier to find the spells for most daedric armour ['cept greeves] and weapons, and bind them as constant effect items to something like an exqusite amulet.

Weightless, repaired every time you remove/re-equip the amulet, and pretty inexpensive!

if you do want all the armor, then unfortunatly you'll need a mod, they left out both pauldrons whilst making the game....unless you wanna murder and innocent guy fior the whole set that is....but that always seemed unfair to me....stupid game designers..

Yeah, so I heard-- at least that's the reason Shanthe gives for making the "Puzzle Canal" mod in the readme....
You might want to give it a try.

You can get the left paldron and another cuirass in Mournhold while exploring on the side during a certain quest. The area can be easily missed, but it is there. Also I just discovered the last piece-the right paldron-today while aimlessly wandering around. It can be found on the big island up north featured in the Bloodmoon expansion. I don't give any specific details, but it is in another spot easily missed. I should note also that I am playing the GotY edition for Xbox. My PC is currently out of commission so I'm not able to check the original releases of the game and it's expansions to see if anything is different.
