Does anyone know if there is an alternate ending? I've seen a lot conjecture on it. I would like to know if it's possible to go join Dagoth? |
In the beginning of the game, i recall someone mentioning working for House Dagoth. But i'm not sure how this effects the game.
nope, there's no alternate ending. and you can't join sixth house.
The good hero ending is the only ending... sadly.
And it is such a pity.
What is the point of all those dreams where Dagoth Ur invites us to join? |
To fool you. He wouldn't let you join him anyway.
its a shame you cant join, even if you talk to that guy in the dwaven training place in red mountains, he offers you the choice to join, and if you say yes, it just continues on the same..he just attacks you :(
Yeah that really sucks. I didn`t see much point to doing the game again from all the different fighter/theif/mage angles if there wasn`t an alternate ending or something. When I started the game with my theif/rouge I really wanted to betray Vivec and just be an evil bastard.. oh well..

How exactly do you betray vivec?

Obvious spoiler, highlight to read
<span style="color: #3D2F1B;">You can betray him by killing him before he gives you wraithguard, then doing the rest on your own. You know it's useless, Dagoth Ur will not let you join. But your char doesn't know that, and killing Vivec is the logical thing to do if you want to join Dagoth... in the end your char will be disappointed, but at the beginning it's a betrayal. |
but won't you get the " Doomsday Message " for doing that? how will you be able to finish the game if you get the message?
You can finish the game anyway. Spoiler highlight to read
<span style="color: #3D2F1B;">On Vivec's body you will find a "unique dwemer artifact", which is nothing but wraithguard. But you cannot wear it as it is, it would kill you, IIRC, or at least not work. But we all know there is a dwemer still living in Vvardenfell... yes, the walking chair down in Tel Fyr corprosarium. Go talk to him. He will mend the item for you to wear. But, since he is really not proficient as he claims, or since he is a dwemer and dwemer have a tendency to mess things up with technology ;) , anyway the first time you wear the "recovered" wraithguard, it will deal you 300 damage instantly. If you can take it and survive, wraithguard is yours and working, and Vivec is dead. Go spank Dagoth Ur. Fortify health potions help. |
so you can still finish the game even if you get the doomsday message uh?
In this case, yes. But in any other situations, AFAIK, no.
i found a resist corprus spell....can u resist corprus in the main quest when he curses u?
in that quest you MUST get courpus disease or you can't advance your game further.

then i wonder why there's a resist corprus spell....There can't be any other use because that's the only time when =you get corprus
it's a useless spell. just like the spell cure paralyis. since you are paralyze. can you move and cure yourself of the paralysis?
