AKA "I don't care if the ash storm's getting worse, I'm not spending another night in Kogoruhn."

By the way, what's with the dead ordinator out there? Is that important to some quest or just an easy way to get some armor?

No kidding...a lot of the shrines are creepy and I cant wait to get my business done and get out of them. I just try and stay out of the Ashlands unless I have to be there because the ash storms are a pain.

Same here, personally I feel that due to the fact that you only control one characer (yourself) as opposed to say BG2 where you control 6 people, there is a certain feeling of loneliness and unease during outdoor travel as a result which contributes to this 'creepy' feeling you get when in the ashlands, the desert regions or the daedric shrines.

The dead ordinator has a shirt which you must get in one of temple missions given from the Ghostgate shrine.

ps. As for creepiness, wait till you get inside the Ghostfence, wander around in red blight storm and suddenly run into a daedric shrine.

Morrowind stopped being creepy the second I found out there weren't any tough monsters in the game. I've played through MW 1,5 times and the only monster which took 5 seconds longer to kill than any other monster was Dagoth Ur... when you know that any monster who might appear from the shadows is a push-over, you fail to feel the terror.

in resident evil and silent hill.. on the other hand...

too bad, all the dungeon in the game is pretty much the same. you've been to one you've been to all.

There's also the fact that enemies can appear right next to you when you reload even when they were'nt there when you saved it. Of course, being in the room with one of those statue-things that constantly whispers "you're doomed" over and over didn't help either. I'm not that powerful that I can beat everything easy, especially if my magic is low.

*sigh* You're just too tough for me then.

I agree about the creeps. The sounds, the unknown, the shock of being attacked from behind. They often give me the creeps, especially playing late at night. eeeeeeeeee!

Yeah, I get annoyed when I suddenly exit a tomb only o be imediately attacked by a cliff racer which I had previously killed on my way in.

Try turning the music all the way down, then roam around an unexplored area. I play at night with the lights turned off, and every now and then I get whacked from behind, usually by a cliff racer.
The surprise attacks really don't hurt my character much, but nine times out of ten I'll jump and knock something over.

....But the creepiest experience by far is the first time you walk into Curio Manor in Vivec and meet Crassius Curio....

Ya gotta love the creepies! It really makes you feel "in the game" and I love it, I love exploring ruins, Ancestral Tombs, etc, I especially love the seemingly most dangerous Daedric ruins! Just had to say that. OOOOOH! I almost forgot these are great places for my darker works, I get a lot of Daedra Hearts, and some really great souls in these!!!!!!!!!!

Yorick 07-06-2002 07:15 AM

Yeah the ancestral tombs with the whispering freaks me out....
