i have a ton of stuff worth a ton, but no npc can afford it! wayne in the fighters guild is the richest person i know, but he still cant afford it! i tried training with him to get his money up then sell it to him, but when he got to 6000(still not enough money to buy my stuff) he went straight back to 2000! i am looking for a rich npc who buys weapons and armor.

There is a rich monster at Ghorak Manor, Caldera. It buys and sells at cost and carries 5,000 Septims.

Or you could load up the TES and edited the Creeper to have extra gold and save it into a plug-in. Start the game and tick the new plug-in that you have just created. You may have to rest 24 hours for the Creeper to update its gold capacity to the lastest changes.

if you don't wish to cheat or use any other plugin the best way to sell your expensive stuff is to trade it for several less expensive items. i usually trade it for jewels/gems which i later unload at traders and/or pawnshops. use a little persuasion to increase their like for you before bartering. that way, you'll get better prices for you stuff.

i admit that it's frustrating that all of these owners never carry more
than 2000 gold, but it's more realistic.

I believe theres some talking mud crab near Vivec with a lot of gold.

Megabot 06-23-2002 01:14 PM

And i think it is an weaponshop or something in Vivec that have 8000 !

Not even close to what i need, i'm in the same boat i am carring around, or over 80k simitons worth of enchanted weapons that i can't sell because no one can afford them and i don't think they have that much goods in stock not encluding regular weapons and armor that i can't pick up because i don't have the weight capasity and no one would still be able to afford most of it.

there's a weapon seller in Vos/Tel Vos that got 9000 gold.

You know the irony about this game? I started as a poor homeless ex-convict and now I am a level 55 warrior mage, got a nice stronghold (Hlaalu) and tons of Septims to spend (589K); plus a lot more deadric/ebony weapons from my adventure and I have no place to spend the money!!

If only I could be this rich in my real life, *sigh*

which mean the morale of the story is, crime does pay!

Think about life. If you have something very rare, and really expensive, how many shopowners would buy it from you? You've priced them out of the market.

No-ones forcing you to carry the stuff around, you could simply sell the stuff for whatever gold they do have. See the little reduce asking price button? Right below the increase asking price button.

Another thing is to save the good ones to enchant them, or don´t steal from the dead!! ;)

I guess we are to spoiled with the hamster-warrior games out on the market, everything valuble goes down the backpack.. ;)

A very good idea. Why really care about how much an item is worth? Sell it for whatever gold an NPC has and you still get cash for it. More than likely you've stole it anyway, so anything you get will be a profit. I've done this on more than one occasion.

Right on Lady A.

In R/L, thieves often have trouble 'finding a buyer' for their stolen artworks for example.

shadowhound 07-02-2002 04:42 AM

I've never had a problem selling my stolen ar..... i mean cough cough.

Get a house mod and store your stuff I recommend the "House in the Hill" mod that you can download at www.rpgplanet.com

It provides a lovely little house in Balmora.
