I joined the Mage guild and i got an mission to put a fake soul gem on a table in the guild and i have done that but mission giver dont se that i have done it so i cant complete the mission! grrrr Have someone done this quest?

<font color = aqua>I'm stuck on the exact same duty. I went up *thought* I put the soul gem on the desk went back downstairs and ...nada it doesn't acknowledge that I did it. I went back upstairs and it shows the soul gem on the floor. Now I can't pick it up because it shows the mage's name on it and she is in the room so even if I wanted to I couldn't put it back on the desk. Any thoughts anyone? Has anyone else had problems or found a solution to this one?</font>

You have to put the soul gems IN the desk (container), not on it.
Don't forget to loot all the gems in and on the desk too.

To keep Galbehir downstrairs, talk to her when shes on her way down. She stays there then (bug??). And yeah, click on the desk so you see a REAL soul gem, take that gem and place your own gem in there. Then report back to Ajira. Mission complete!

reload your game, she will only go down once.

Or you can try using Chameleon and trying the quest again. I'm not sure if it will work, but the experience I've had with the spell, it should.

I am in the same position as you canadianvixen :( a have done tons of other things so if i have to reloade the game then i miss out houers of playing, but i trie to take the fake gem when she are there and she dont do anything when i take it so maby i shall trie to put it in the drawer because she is standing with here back against the desk... i trie that later!! :D

This is strange. i didn't even know she went downstairs. i just walked up to her. chatted with her. shoved the thing in her desk and completed the mission. i don't remmember if i took the other gem in her desk though. i don't think i did, but can't be sure. it is the easiest mission i've had so far. didn't even mean leaving the guild house [img]smile.gif[/img]

For future reference, the Chameleon spell is one of the best invisibility spells out there. If you have a high percentage, you can pickpocket, steal, and maybe even backstab without being seen. All Mages start with a Chameleon spell, but is really low in the percentage. You can either enhance the spell via spellmaking or imbue an item (most likely) with one of the soul gems from that specific table (which ever is worth 60K)..

Sorry I couldn't give you a definite location as to where you could find it. I've barely made it anywhere, as I tend to start my characters over almost every day. I do know that you can find enchanted items which provide a fairly decent percentage, and if you're dieing to know..

Veto. This is irrelevant. Crates and barrels are random and it would take you a lifetime to find the ring when it doesn't exist. Sorry about that.

Yeah it worked for me to i only took the gem and put it in to the drawer then the quest was done!! :D
