Ok here's my question I have seen the screen shots of morrowwind and am very impressed, but I have never seen or heard of any of earlier elderscrolls games does anyone have any info on them

I played both Arena and Daggerfall. Although I was very impressed with what they were trying to do (make an non-linear openended world where true RPGing is the name of the game), I don't think the technology was up to scratch.

Hopefully, now that the technology has moved along, their ambitions can finally be realized. I'm going to check the reviews first, because after being very enthusiastic about the first games, they became repetitive and unfocused.

I'm looking forward to it!

Anyway, I wonder if we could hire a bunch of programmers to alter MW slightly.... Say, give it MP mode :D

Multiplayer is the only thing that MW lacks and I sincerely hope that some day in the future they'll make an expansion set which allows MP....

Unless it was built in and planned as a future expansion...I doubt this would happen, but it would be nice.
I've been going nuts with the ship date changes, it seems that EB was going to ship the game yesterday (and I could have had it this morning) but Bethesda made them hold back the date until 5/1. I was checking the EB website and saw the date change to 4/29 and back to 5/1. The local EB retailer gave me the bad news, back to thursday. :(

I assume that is the American release date. Do you have any idea when we Europians can expect it?

I saw the hint book for sale today at EBX, the counter guy said they were getting the game in today...

I've been waiting for this game for years. Over the last year I've been upgrading my PC with this game in mind. Thankfully I finally fall into the recommended specs category so I can run it.

Now if I can get a hold of it, I'll see if my PC can actually handle this game!

Thanks, Dan! Good to see the Morrowind forum is open. Like Mark, I've been waiting for this game for six years, ever since Daggerfall. Back then, on the net, the only decent forum for Daggerfall was Daggerweb, and I was as avid a poster there as I am here at IW. Daggerweb unfortunately got ported to the USENET (alt.games.daggerfall) and that's pretty much when I said *bye* and left.

Anyway, glad to see the new Elder Scrolls game will have a home here at Ironworks, where we DON'T send old forums to the USENET! :D
