I will be running a series of mysteries involving people from IW, the players will be allowed to search rooms, dust for prints etc, and interrigate suspects. Anyone interested in being involved?

Sounds intersting
|
The way the game will be run is like this:
Players will be given a discription of the room, each player will then pm me with one action (example: examine body, dust phone for prints, ask ***** about *****). I will then post in the thread what everyone did. Players will be sort of competeing with each other to collect the best evidence as a MVP will be selected at the end of each case. |
Sounds fun, I'd be interested.
|
Me too.
Although I'm not sure how good I'd be at it. *grins* |
Excellent, I will start the game in a few days or when we have a total of 5 confirmed players. Whichever comes first.
|
Confirmed.
|
Well that looks like our five players:
Dragonshadow True Moose Ivelliis Sever Bjorn (through pm) Will get it started once my class is over! (could be a fair few hours) |
Game Start.
================ Welcome to your new job, you have all completed the necessary training to become a CSI and now all you need to do is some field work. We have your first case all lined up for you. A body has been found in a hotel, at the moment it is unidentified. You will be taken to the scene once we have gone through a few basics. Your toolkit: Collection Equipment: Cotten Swab: Used for collecting samples of liquids or stains, also for DNA samples. Gloves & Tweezers: Collection of evidence. Casting Plaster: Good for casting any tracks you find. Mikrosil: Good for casting woulds and smaller shapes. Adhesive lifting tape: For small items otherwise hard to get. Detection Tools: Magnifiying Scope: For a closer look. Ninhydren: Used for finding finger prints on paper or other hard to dust items. Finger print powder: for finger prints UV light: Shows bruising and other details at a crime scene Luminol: When sprayed on an surface or object and blood becomes luminesce, even if its been wiped away. Also you have the assistance of a few other CSI members: Shadowhound runs the lab, any evidence you want looked at should be sent to him. Bakilas does the autopsys, he can tell you alot about the body. Lamort handles the law part of the job, he can look up background information for you, as well as locations and give out warrants (as long as you have enough proof). OOC: It may take me a while to post the crime scene due to assignments. Once the scene is posted we can begin. |
The crime scene
You are all standing in a hotel room, it is a small room with two doors (one leading out to the hallway and the second leading into the bathroom). The room contains a chest of draws with a television on top (currently off), a small table, some chairs, a bed (currently with a dead body on it), a small bin, and a walk in closet. The hotel manager Lennon Cook is standing in the doorway. A police officer briefs you on what they know, <font color=white>"Well we got a call about a noise disturbance in this room, when we entered we found the television up full volume and the woman as she is."</font> With that he leaves. OOC: Characters can now PM me with an action (examine something, question someone etc.) |
Actions
Ivelliis looks into the indentity of the person who called in about the noise disturbance, discovers it was made anonymously. True Moose and Bjorn decide to examine the body, they are joined by Sever after he finishes scoffing down a donut and coffee. |
I got off to a great start
|
Actions
Sever collects the fabric and bags it for later analysis at the lab, he then orders True Moose & Bjorn to fetch him a coffee Bjorn dusts the rope for prints but finds nothing. |
OOC: Argh, stupid thing didnt post, well time to try again.
Actions True Moose moves away from the bed and over to the television which he dusts for prints. He finds some prints and sends them for analysis. Bjorn tells Sever exxactly where he can find his coffee He then examines the victem's neck before announcing that she most likely died from strangulation. |
Actions
True Moose looks through the chest of draws under the TV and yells for Ivelliis to fetch him some donuts. Sever and Bjorn open the victims mouth and find a $20 note tucked in there. It is sent to the lab. Lab Findings Sever: Torn Fabric: Matches fabric of hotel sheets, small hair found on it. Hair: No DNA found, can only be used for a comparison. True Moose: Finger Prints: The finger prints come back as a match to Lennon Cook, the hotel manager. He was arrested a few years ago for assault. Actions
True Moose walks over to Lennon Cook the hotel manager. True Moose: "Who's name was the hotel room in?" Lennon Cook: "Well it was booked out to Lady Gray tonight but every week she comes in it is a fake last name, although the first night she came here I remember her using a different name. I have the receipt from the first time she was here, figured you would want it." The slip is sent to the lab to be investigated. Ivelliis searches the bathroom. Bjorn looks in and near the rubbish bin and finds a golden bracelet initialed LB, sent to lab. Lab Results Sever & Bjorn: $20 note: Unfortunatly it is next to impossable to fingerprint money and everything else came up clean. Sorry. |
Actions
Bjorn looks under the bed and out the window. The body is picked up for an autopsy. Lab Results True Moose: Recepit: Using the name on the slip the body is identified as the of Lady Blue. Her address was found and her house can now be investigated if anyone wishes to do so. Bjorn: Bracelet: Identified as belonging to Lady Blue, nothing else found. |
Actions
Bjorn looks in the built-in closet. Ivelliis makes a phone call to Lamort requesting some background info on Lady Blue. Sever examines the ropes and the bedhead. |
Actions
True Moose luminols the main room of the hotel, Sever decides (since the main room is done) that he should do the bathroom. Sever finds blood in the bathroom sink and a swabbing is sent to the lab. Findings Ivelliis gets a phone call from Lamort. "Well we can confirm that Lady Blue is in fact her real name, also we have the address to her home. Dont know much else other then the fact she was a showgirl, but she only had one chorus line in a show that shut down weeks ago." |
Actions
Sever runs the UV light over the bathroom and finds nothing. True Moose discovers there are no next of kin. Bjorn travels to Lady Blue's apartment. Scene Lady Blue's apartment It is a small three room apartment. The first room consists of a kitchen/work room. In this room a bike leans against the wall below a coatrack. The counter nearby is covered in stuff and a computer sits on a desk. The lounge room is small and is mostly filled with a table (cluttered with junk), a television and a fishtank. The bedroom has already been checked out by the second team before you arrived and has been declared clean of evidence. You arrived just before they moved into the next room. Lab results Sever: Blood Swab: DNA does not match any in database, kept for comparison. |
OOC: Sorry about the seriously late delay but the game continues!
Actions At crime scene: Sever makes a call to Lamort requesting Lady Blue's phone records. True_Moose places a phone call to the manager of the show that Lady Blue was in. At Apartment: Bjorn investigates the counter and finds: A pile of receipts Some unwashed plates Phone and Answering machine |
This looks awesome. But no one remembered the first, most important rule of CSI. When arriving to a crime scene, you must turn off all lights and whip out your flashlight.
And when leaving a crime scene, you must say something dramatic, and put on sunglasses. [ 04-26-2006, 01:10 PM: Message edited by: Timber Loftis ] |

What we know so far:
Anonymous caller led to discovery of dead body in hotel room. Phone call was to complain about loud noises coming from the room, noises were found to be coming from the television. Hotel: Evidence found: Piece of torn fabric – Matched against sheet fabric Hair on fabric – No DNA recovered, useless except for comparison Finger prints on TV – belong to hotel manager Lennon Cook $20 note in victim’s mouth – nothing found Receipt slip given to CSI by Lennon Cook – used to identify victim and locate home Golden Bracelet engraved with L.B. – Nothing more found Blood swab found in bathroom sink – no DNA match in database, kept for comparison Lady Blue’s Home: Nothing yet. Victim: Name: Lady Blue Often used hotel. Most likely died by strangulation Currently in autopsy room Had very small role in a show which has been shut down Suspects: Lennon Cook – Owns and runs hotel that victim was found it - spent time in prison for assault, that’s why he was in the finger print database |
Actions:
Sever asks Lennon Cook how Lady Blue arrived at the hotel. Lennon Cook: "How am I supposed to know? I dont watch every customer who comes in here. It's upto them how they get here." Investigator Ivelliis shakes his head and leaves the case, looks like its down to only three investigators now. Bjorn collects some receipts from the counter, they appear to be receipts from hotel rooms. They are sent to the lab. Findings Sever recieves a phone call from Lamort saying that he can not access the phone records. The CSI team receive a phone call informing them that the autopsy is completed should anyone wish to meet with Bakilas to hear what he has found. |
Actions
Bjorn hits play on the answering machine: "You have one message: Hey Lady Blue its Lennon Cook from the hotel, you still owe me $200 for the television you busted up a few weeks ago. But I am sure we can come to some other arrangement." True Moose and Sever (donut in hand), arrive and speak to Lamort. "Well we have a young woman, identified as Lady Blue. Killed by strangulation most likely by a rope or fabric. We have found skin samples beneath her nails which are not her own and her bloodwork shows she is HIV+" The skin samples are sent to the lab. Lab Results Bjorn: Hotel Receipts: Standard receipts, from a lot of different hotels. Not much more to say here. [ 05-09-2006, 01:55 AM: Message edited by: shadowhound ] |
