Ok here's an idea -
If you in real life were a BG Character what would you be and what stats would you have - based on you as a person.
Heres me
Str : 12 - Not the biggest or strongest person you'll ever meet.
Dex: 17 - Pretty swift and agile - though i'm getting older
Con: 16 - Can drink like a fish - I'm Irish
Int: 18 - I'd like to think 6 years of uni helps me here
wis: 15 - Stil have abit to learn about life though
Char: 17 - A bit of a charmer in me

This I believe would make me a mage/thief - as its how i'd like to think of me, therefore would have to be a half - elf too.

Hmmm... Hows bout:

Str:11

Dex:17-i practice stealing stuff from my friend. They hate it when I do that!
Con:13-I dont drink... or run... or raised from the dead.

Int:16-I am in AS (advanced studies), and my grades arent crap.

Wis:15-I have noticed a few things that should not be done in life.

Cha:7-I try to be quiet and composed.

I would probably be... a gnome of some kind. And probably a thief.

im working out alot lately, so i will be stronger. i was in martial arts for awhile, so im pretty fast, well balanced, and have good reflexes. im healthy, but do accasionally get sick. im not Einstein, but im no Johny Knoxville either!!! i must admit, im not too wise. ive made a few mistakes in my life (women and money type), but i did learn from them, so maybe my wisdom should be higher. as far as me, people like me. i can usually make someone laugh, and i can entertain a croud too. (high school theater student)

SOOOOOO i would be an elven fighter/thief.

Nope. The mythical "average" human would have 8 in all stats. 18 is for the sort of people who just dont exist in real life.

Where do you get 10.5 from BTW. its not half of 18, it dosent come from any stat i can think of on the actual stats. Unless youve taken the average from this thread which I cant be bothered to work out.

Con: 9 Don't know exactly, but I can take some hits (moral fanatic perhaps)
Dex 12: I can do most kicks above my head without warmup, and still i was a while since i trained anything.
Int: 13-14 Quite good I am. Though I have done no test to really make sure

Char: 7 I don't know how I look, but I am shy and not the leader, so to say.

Dex 16 - Try stayin upright on a bike doing 40mph in a pack of 60 other cyclist..

me and my friends have talked about this offen.........here is my AD&D description of my self:

Str: 15
Dex: 7 (you shoud see me dance......or hope not to)
Con: 10 (a little out of shape......but can drink like a fish)
Int: 8 (not the sharpest pencil in the box....but i get around)
Wis: 14 (i just lisen to that innner voice)
Cha: 14 (well once you have gotten past my natural shyness its about the 14)

aligment: i woud say chaotic good
Class: probberly bard (once again when i get past my shyness i love to tell jokes and being the center at parties)

Hmmm, lots of 17's and 18's

Remember that 18 is that MAX ability score for a human, so those of you saying you have 18 strength are saying that you are as strong as a human can possibly be i.e. think worlds strongest man contest winner! A strength of 18 means you can not only lift, but carry around with you between 200-400 pounds without feeling encumbered! Not likely!

I'd say my strength was above average, but I can only *press*(i.e. not lug around with me all day, but mind u ive not tried it!) around 40 KG(i.e. 88 Ibs), so that could give me a max strength of between 10 and 13.

And 18 INT/WIS!!, do you know the meaning of the universe? Can you put Einstein to shame with your vast intellects? I'm on track for a first doing a degree in Cybernetics and Virtual Worlds (final semester - touch wood), and I did an IQ test after a few cans of lager and scored around 135, so I would prob have an INT of around 12 (above average, fairly competent). Remember 18 is the most intelligent a human can possibly be.

So I would say my stats were:

STR 11
DEX 14 (im young and thin, but not terribly nimble on my toes)
CON 16 (going on BG2 drinking, a CON of 16 = 6 pints before intoxication. Prob about right for me)
INT 12
WIS 10 (I got a little common sense)
CHA 15 (good leadership and communication skills and I can lie well :D )

str- 10 (above average)
dex- 14 (went to states for kickboxing when i was 8)
con- 4 (not in the face! jk...just wanted to say that)
real con- 12 (kickboxing again...kicks to the head lol)
int- 8 (very average)
wis- 5 (not wise at all heh)
cha- 7 (introvert)

wizard slayer! thats meeeee...not too many wizards to slay in real life, though
