Are there any good merchants in the game, bar The adventurers mart and trademeet? cos ive bought all the items I want and have Vast surpluses of money left over!
You can buy some nice items from Bernard in the Copper Coronet, although most of those won't see you to the end of the game. Also, in the Underdark there are a few good merchants in the Svirfneblin Village and in Ust Natha. And after you return from the Underdark, Ribald in the Adventurer's Mart will let you take a look at his special items.

Do you have the Bonus Merchants? If not, you can download them from Baldurdash.
Cause they have ALOT of very good equipment, like (spoiler) * * * * * the Sword and Shield of Balduran, and the sling of Everard. see ya! |
Are the bonus merchants there if you've already visited the location?
The patch must be broken 'cos I didn't get the extra merchants.
1. Download the patch
2. Put the patch in your override-folder 3. Restart your comp 4. Now there should be one merchant in the Adventurers Mart, and one in or near the Copper Coronet. If not, there's something wrong with the patch. see ya! |
Just another question - does the bonus merchant patch work with TOB installed ???
If you have the ToB installed, along with the latest ToB-patch, the bonus merchants are included in that one, so you don't need the file from Baldurdash to install them.
I think that the ToB patch only gives you Dierde at the adventurer's mart, and not Joluv at the copper coronet
I thought patches of that sort only took effect for a new game and that an existing game would not be changed (does not the game save location states?)
I downloaded the entire ToB patch and didn't get the merchants. I went back to the site and under SoA found the bonus merchants. I downloaded that and unzipped it into my override folder and voila! Both Bonus merchants. It worked fine with ToB already installed.

Remember that Cromwell demands some cash to upgrade your items too.

Heya guys...new to Ironworks. With risk of sounding like an adult (and i dont want to since im just 19) I just wanted to ask you guys about the legal aspects of adding new stuff to the game...is it really legal to spread these patches??? Im not saying that i care about if its legal or not (i drive an illegally tuned car) but is it legal or not???? If the question has been taken up before just tell me im stupid (= ...and also excuse me if the English is bad in some place, im from Sweden
I am of the opinion that most of these items are Bug fixes and though some are just add-ons or enhancements, alot of the time they were developed to fix a problem.
If you go to Balderdash you will see that Kevin is of the same opinion. In the case of the merchants, I believe he says something about it was publicly released by Interplay. PS. Good Luck to your Hockey Team facing Belarus, as Sweden is my second favorite after Canada. (who hopefully can beat the Fins) Naslund, Ohlund, Dahlin and Sundin Rock!!!!!!! |
Actually i hate all kinds of sports except for motorsports (= another question...where can i find Elmonsters Journal??? i downloaded the thing in .doc format but its hopeless to read (havent anyone heard of hitting the enter button BEFORE you are at the right end of the screen?) and now i cant find the .htm version of it...and also i poke around a little in Shadowkeeper with the spell browser and i was just wondering if all those silly spells actually work (antichickenator,MDK2 spell and cow summoning)? well i think thats about it...
LMAO i'd almost forgotten about antichickenator, it was from bg1, for a very specific quest, where you had to turn a chicken, once an apprentice who turned himself into a chicken, back into a human, very funny quest
