i just finished SOA for the first time, and irenicus was just a total sissy. i went into a time stop and he was dead about 5 seconds after i got out of it because i just removed all his spell protections, and hacked him apart. What a disappointment. from what he did to those cowled wizards and spell hold ide have thought he was pretty hard, or moderately hard at least. turns out he was just a another dead mage

I found it was very easy too.

Ihad a barbarian with crom fayer whack him a few times and he fell. It wasnt all that hard either. Melissan on TOB is a tough one tho, still havent beat her.

Melissan IS tough. But I beat her like in three games already [img]smile.gif[/img] . But I agree Irenicus sucks.

Irenicus was in love with his sister. When she died, he became a pansy. Remember the Dryads? Even they couldn't get him interested.

yeah was that like his blood sister? because that would be some incest action, hamlet style. but i dont care why hes a simple to defeat as a 8 year old school girl with a pair of black eyes. im just disappointed because the whole game was a build up to fight this immpossible god like powerful sorcerer, but in the end you just slap him around like your odd second step cousin Earl. a big disappointment

Irenicus is a stupid puss. I rather enjoy smashing his ass around left and right with every guy I play....gives me a power trip. Kind of gives a nice double-meaning to his "Do you realize your true potential?"

I'll have to have my two cents worth and also say that Irenicus was a huge dissapointment, i thought his accomplices where harder than he was. The way the game made him out to be i felt the fear of my poor mage/cleric as we faced him, but, no, he had nothing.

Yep. He is a wuzzy. He actually hided fare away as I battled his demons. What a wuzz.

If you ever noticed, irenicus was more than able to cast spells through spelltraps and such. His lightningbolts and double desintegrations go through protections too.
The whole point is, that you could never defeat the bastid in his true power, but as ellesime states : when you fight him he's severly weakened. You probably couldnt defeat him, if he was feeling
fresh and fit ...

Do have to admit that the fight's a big disappointment, just dont criticize jon, he's a powerfull lass.
