Hi pplz!
I have heard much about the heralded Tansherons Bow. Only problem is i cannot locate the merchant. I have been all over Trademeet and i am unable to locate him either at night or day.
Can someone help out?
Thanks!

Errr he's in Athkatla, at the Adventurer's Mart.

Don't quote me this but I think it's only available in Chapter 6?

Desuma_Malevois 08-13-2001 06:53 AM

First, you must complete the Druid and Genie quests before the bow becomes available. The merchant only appears during the day - he's in the approximate middle of the Trademeet Bazaar. He looks like a noble. Hope this helps.

If you have and adept theif this bow is second only to the gesen

DonkeyWan 08-13-2001 12:14 PM

If its second only to the Gesen then it must be a right pile of donkeyknobs, there are several bows and cross-bows better than the Gesen (heartseeker for example). Anyone got the stats for Tasherons bow?

Darkon Blackblood 08-13-2001 12:25 PM

gesen is the best short bow srry longbows r way better

JimJ 08-13-2001 04:28 PM

You don't have to buy Tansheron's bow, you can find it. I think it was one of the items guarded by the golems in Nalia's keep.

Darkon Blackblood 08-13-2001 04:33 PM

no that is the elven court longbow

fdirs 08-13-2001 04:39 PM

You definately can't find Tansheron's Bow in Nalia's Keep. That is the Elven Court Long Bow +3.

Darkon Blackblood 08-13-2001 04:47 PM

no tasherons bow is a short bow found in trademeet after the
druid grove quest it is a +3 bow that requires no amo, has a
speed factor of 3 and is sold for 8250gp from the noble lookin
guy in the trademeet maket

the Elven court bow is a longbow that is +3 THAC0 +4 and has a
4 speed factor

Thrawn 08-13-2001 04:52 PM

Hmm isn't there a second one the one u get from the beast master in the fight pit thingy with lernark and herssk in the copper cornent

Legolas the Elven Archer 08-13-2001 04:57 PM

I don't think so. The bow was most certainly not in that room. My guess is that you're thinking of another bow, but they don't give their "second best shortbow" away that easily http://www.ironworksforum.com/ubb/no...iles/smile.gif

There is one shortbow that you get in the beginning where you can fire at least 3 arrows/turn. I believe it's called Tuigan bow. It's a good bow.

DonkeyWan 08-15-2001 06:31 AM

yep, I remember it, the only problem was it was only +1, still damned useful. Longbows are great but I don't think Jan can use them (I am using him as a thief at the moment), I didn't realise that Tasherons bow was a short bow. How do you get the genie quest, is it a better version od the limited wish spell? Where do I get the scroll? and what level is it?

Darkon Blackblood 08-15-2001 10:54 AM

the scroll is at any respectable scroll merchant and the level is 7

DonkeyWan 08-15-2001 12:41 PM

ah you mean the limited spell quest, right, I thought it was something else sorry...

Vanyel 08-15-2001 07:19 PM

Now I REALLY lost. What is the bow? How do I activate the Druid and Genie quests? Also where are the part of the Wave weapon? I can't find them.

OK, first off, some people here are referring to the Limited Wish quest, which involves casting a LW spell, having a genie appear before you, and wishing for an adventure like no others. This will eventually take you into Trademeet and the Druid and Djinn quests, but there is a much easier way.

First, go to Athkatla's Gate district and talk to the guy who is looking for help in Trademeet. When you go there and talk to Lord Logan, you'll get the Druid quest. You can either get the Djinn quest by talking to the Dao Djinni in a tent outside of Trademeet at any time, or talking to the merchant guildmistress outside Logan's office after completing the Druid quest.

Sorry, but I don't remember where the Wave parts are - I think one comes from Haer'Dalis' quest and the others are probably in the Underdark.

The warden in the Astral prison has one part (the shaft) and the rebel prince in sahuagin city has the other (the blade).

rodimus 08-16-2001 02:31 AM

Theres another Tansherons bow in the game (SPoiler):

One of Drizzt's companions (I dunno which one) also has one Tansherons Bow.

Rimon SharpEye 08-17-2001 04:59 AM

Tasheron's Bow is real neat without the arrows.....but....I preferred the mana bow (+4 and magic resistance) or the strong arm (+2 and +3 thac0 and +3 damage (you'll need some strenght though)). The heartseeker is pretty good as well.

DonkeyWan 08-17-2001 05:17 AM

erm ok genie quest, slight problem, I am playing evil at the moment and cheerfully slaughtered the genies to get that bottle that releases an efreet once a day (whoops is my face red etc.) does this now mean I can't get the bow?

Desuma_Malevois 08-17-2001 04:00 PM

I don't know, but go talk to guildmistress Busya and see if she thinks the town's problems are over. If so, then the merchants should start restocking.
