Who is harder, the Shadow Dragon or Firkraag?

I thought Firkraag; he seemed to dish out a lot more damage (and took more reloads) before dying.

IMO, Firkraag is harder.
Opinion always depends on the average level of the party when meeting particular dragon- so, may be I think so highly of Firkraag only because usually I meet him first...

Firkragg is definately harder than the Shadow Dragon...I usually take the Shadow Dragon first and Firkragg still puts up a good fight...

Red Dragons are the toughest Chromatic-type Dragon. Nothing outmatches them. Even the Silver Dragon would fall to Firkraag (a Golden one wouldn't, but that's why they didn't put one in the game).

Firkraag was the easiest for me, I just nailed him with 9 cloudkills simultaniously with a wandhttp://www.tgeweb.com/cgi-bin/ubb/no...iles/smile.gif

Firkraag is tough, i blinded the shadow dragon with Edwin and got him with 4 fighters, hes easy, though he can dispel lower resistances an that lower saving throws spell if hes lucky and doesn't have a spell failer

haha! the Red Dragon is definately the hardest one cuz of his flame breath...but he wasn't so bad.

I just had him follow me up the stairs into the jail. He kinda got stuck in that small corner upstairs and i used cheap tactics to finish him off! haha who says a level 10 party can't kill dragons??

I'm new to this dungeons and dragons lark, so a GOLDEN DRAGON is the ultimate creature in the realms.

If so, or if not, why is he better than the red one.

It was weird for me....I beat the shadow dragon in chpt 2 after I did the entire wolf quest and was maybe lvl 10? It was very difficult...took a few reloads and I still lost Jan.

So I heard all this bad stuff about firkraag being so hard so I saved him for when I'm almost done chpt 2 (where I'm at now)

I went in there all decked up in defence....and just slaughtered firkraag. And for some reason Aerie couldn't use any magic spells....they were all blacked out for some reason so I was without magic except for my defence and Jan's (I resserected him a long time agohttp://www.tgeweb.com/cgi-bin/ubb/no...les/tongue.gif) magic missiles and such. Anyways, Firkraag was extremely easy for me. But it may be because I'm lvl 13/14. Oh well. It was fun.

To me Shadow Dragon is harder, better AI I think becasue he just kept chasing Aerie(my main mage) to kill her with fire breath level drain everytime.
While killing the Red Dragon, I summoned fire elementals and animals before the fight but shadow dragon I can't.
