Ive been doing the harper quest for like 300 days and my last contact was a showdown with dermin where i killed him. Its been about 150 days since then and elminster still wont show and give jaheira the harper pin. Where is he? I got thinking that i had to have a few chats with jaheira before he came and after a while she has stopped talking with me. When is this going to happen. I want elminster NOW!

Ok I went to the website and got the fix, overwrote the files, reloaded my game and started playing. The read me told me that i change the time between love chats to 1800 seconds or half an hour. Now i have waited half an hour and jaheira is talking to me! Well that was all good but i was a conversation we had AGES ago. And not only that but next chat was the same thing. It reoocurs all the time, every 30 minutes. The dialog is the one where she asks "did you enjoy that last battle...... how did it make you feel". It has happened the last four times.

Also it fixes the time for terminsel to come of finish the harper quest. I changes it from 5 days REAL TIME to a normal 5 days in the game. Well five days have been and still no show. Is there a way to fix this fix. lol

i am sorry but it seems that no one knows a solution to your problem. I wish I could help but I haven't got a clue. Maybe you could email the site where you got the bug fix from, they're bound to be able to help.

try this if you're not anti-cheat (even though it's just overcoming a bug):

CLUAConsole:CreateCreature("JATERMIN")

if the dialogues/quests have progressed to where he's SUPPOSED to show but isn't, this should work. if it's in any way premature he'll either stand there and have nothing to say or just attack you.

Nope it says "terminsel has nothing to say". Are you sure its when she's supposed to meet him for the last time? Maybe its where he gives you the letter?

Don't forget a large part of the Jaheira romance script is triggered by several events, like running off to the Harper Hideout and all... And since this bug fix seems to start the entire script all over again, you'll have to go through those events as well. But since the variables of those events are already changed when you've passed this point in the game, the romance script will end up in a deadlock. I believe it only works if you restart the game with the bug fix already installed... Don't pin me down on it, perhaps the Baldurdash Team will slap me with a large trout for giving wrong information like this http://www.tgeweb.com/cgi-bin/ubb/no...es/biggrin.gif, but it's my best shot at the situation...

Use the latest version of Shadowkeeper to push on the global variables or install the patch.

k. did some more digging and came up with this.

use SK as you have to edit jaheira's local items (the "Affects" tab) and change LoveTalk to 71. go to the Global tab and set "TerminselSpawn" to 5. save it, load it, and then try the CreateCreature("Jatermin")

fyi, terminsel will not show up under any of the following conditions, so the cause for his nonappearance might be one of these:

won't show up in chapter 4,5, or 7
will only show up OUTDOORS, but not in AReas 0020,0400,2000, or 2500
will not show up during combat (duh)
will not show up if jaheira is within 10 spaces of a neutral creature

At least you got that far. I'm stuck with her love talk at 27. I'm trying to do Jahieras romance but everytime I try something else goes wrong. I know something shoul have happened by now from going through her romance before. The last time I played I had to just teleport in Terminsel as explained above, it does work. What do you set the love talk variable to push it forward, an even or odd number? Yes I do have the patch from Baldurdash but after an hour I still had no dialogue from Jahiera. I may be up to where the bandits appear. Is their appearance based on real time or does it happen after a certain amount of game days? I sure hope there aren't romance bugs in TOB. I'll try putting the love talk back 2 and see what happens, whether it will continue past 27 this time.

huhuh!!! Just discovered the problem. Seems my game somehow jumped from lovetalk 23 to 27 so I missed the dialogue that sets Jahierabanditplot global to 1 which of course moves on the romance. How that happened I don't know. I'll try putting it back to 23 and hope it works. Wish me luck. Hope my ramblings are helping someone.

So far so good. Love talk is now on 25. The dialogue came up as soon as I loaded because the real timer had expired but the game didn't know what dialogue to load. Try moving your love talk back a couple of steps and see if it moves on normally before messing with too much stuff.
