I read Renal bloodsometing (the one who yoshimo tells about) has boots of speed. How the hell do I get them without killing him, which also almost isn't possible because you get backstabbed to death immidiately. I tried pickpocketing him but without succes using a 100% pickpocketing score and potions etc. Can anyone give some pointers here?

You could try Cntrl-Y to kill him instantly, i never trie this though... or maybe summon a demon...

He doesn't yield the boots.
He has them if you kill him...but not through pick pocketing!

Summon Demon on Renel does NOT work.
As soon as Renel is damaged your fault or not, you are buggered.

if youve got your cheats enabled you could ctrl+q him to get him into your party, take all his stuff and then dump him.
Hes also got shadow armour.
You would have to do this after completing his quests though

just wait until you get to spellhold. The boots are in there out of this machine.

I think you would have trouble picking a pair of boots out of anyones pockets dude, specially two boots in one pocket. Also, pickpocketing boots from pockets ? I think picking them off his feet is SIGNIFICANTLY harder.
