I'm in chapter 7 and Anomen and Aerie get into a fight. After fight Aerie keeps stopping, she walk like 2-3 steps and stop or get 1/2 thru spell and stop, causing her to lose the spell. Any ideas why this is happening? Any ideas for a fix? I really don't want to change my party at this point. Anonem is not a knight, I did the revenge thing (man he was ruthless). I have to latest patch installed. Thx in advance for ne help.

Do you have the romance patch (that allows you to have romances with all three women) installed? If so, just remove the .bcs files from your override (that allow you to have the romances simultaneously) and you will be ok.

Hmmmm, not sure, as I've always taken Anomen through as a knight, but I've heard that he goes kind of nuts after failing the test. Can anyone who's gone through that path confirm this?

He goes evil and becomes really mean, he starts to fight Aerie. All the more reason to drop this faliure, its the ultimate revenge on Anomen to make him fail. His whole life was leading up to that moment. If you can Shangoman just drop him before he does anything.

I don't have the romance patch installed. I actually don't have any romances going, because Aerie starting whinning in the middle of a fight and I told her to shut the hell up, since then no romance and very little whinning from her. Jaheira got cheese at me when I chose to whack the bandits that had a knife to her throat, besides she was such a b*tch in BG, if she wasn't such a good priest I'd sent her packing. Besides I was holding out for Immoen, but great, now she's my sister. You know what they say in the south, better to go across the hall than across the street. ; )

LOL, you've got the romance angle pretty much nailed there! Aerie in paticular just keeps whining at the most inappropriate time: and that bloody music as well!

When Anomen goes evil does he get any special abilities? I know when he completes the test he gets a stat boost. Also, does his spoken speech change?

As for me, after Anomen received his judgement,
he actually called me a bastard and attacked my group outside the hall of radiant heart!!!!

found it for ya. it may be that baldurdash now have a fix for it but i dunno.

(From a walkthrough)

While I was resting in that area of the sewers with all the Mind
Flayers, Aerie and Anomen started up a conversation, which resulted in
Anomen turning Chaotic Neutral and attacking Aerie. I interfered and
killed Anomen before he could finish Aerie off, but after that point
Arie would not walk to a location without constant prodding, and would
not pick up items anymore. It became really annoying, as you would be in
the heat of battle and Aerie would be half a screen behind. I eventaully
had to boot her out of the party in favour of Jan Janssen. I have had no
similar problems with any other NPC.

Editor's Note: This conversation thread happens ONLY after Anomen has
FAILED his knight's test. If he passes the test, it won't
happen.
