Well....to get to the point, I´m just dying to find out if theres anu tomes in BG2...since it was something I used a lot in BG1...

If theres no tomes are there any other ways to raise permanent stats...

You lose some of your stats permanently later in the game, and just before the games final battle you get a permanent plus +1 to two of your stats, or a permanent +2 to one of them.

Play a multi-player game with just you, then when you get to the time when you have all 5 tears, give them to another of your chars, save the game, use four of the tears, export your char, load the game, insert your newly exported char instead of the one in the savegame, use four tears again, export char again, load and insert char again, do this till all of your stats are at 25 at which point you don't really gain that much by doing it http://www.tgeweb.com/cgi-bin/ubb/no...iles/smile.gif.

Heck, why not cheat and just raise everything up to 25. I don't see the need to give out hints on bugs or cheats to raise stats. Just using shadowmaster or such to give yourself what you want, no need to do the export/import thing alot. A waste of time.

You'll get some good bonuses at the end of the game, nothing you can use during this game, but maybe with future games, maybe HP bonus, maybe CON or str bonus, maybe resistance to fire, etc, maybe more experience, maybe wisdom or char bonuses, some others.
But you do lose a few points of stats during the game. Not major if you get the bonuses at the end, but you do lose something later.

if you are using the cheats, which I think everyone is doing, just to stay alive, you can use the tomes in BGll that were in BGl...codes are book03-book08
and they will raise your stats up if you want, found this by accident, well more like an experiment

Just a quick reminder, BOOK07 and BOOK08 will not work. But the once that raise STR, CON, DEX, and INT still works.

Glad to see that tomes can still be created in BGII using the CLUAConsole cheat. Had a feeblemind spell cast on Aerie which has been removed at the temple but has still left her with an intelligence of 3 for some reason. Possible bug? At least now I can give her a couple of intelligence Tomes to get her back up to normal!

Why use cheats at all? If you just try and do all of the subquests, you will have more than enough exp to beat the game.

you can just use the createitem cheats from the first....
book03-06..... but i couldn't create the tomes fer charisma
or constitution.

why the hell would u need tomes??? you can make you char superb when u create him from the beginning...besides i think using tomes in any way is cheating! no matter if its possible getting it in the game...

Books do not actually raise the lore, increase in lore is due to the lore bonuses from high INT and WIS.

I gotta go with ACCORD on that score...If it is in the game it can´t be cheating...like some friendly magic can be used against enemies...would that be cheating or would it just be a mage who actually uses the INT score. Hehehehe
